Singh revealed that she pays more than ₹30,000 in rent, along with ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 in maintenance charges and a separate electricity bill. Despite these expenses, the basement floods every time it rains. With a touch of sarcasm, she calls the waterlogged space a “complimentary swimming pool.”
She notes that the same society has apartments worth around ₹2 crore and residents who have invested heavily in their homes and cars. The contrast, she says, raises a basic question about the quality of infrastructure being provided.
Singh also expressed frustration over ongoing construction and maintenance work inside the society. She said she has been hearing the line “We’re working for the welfare of the society” for the past six years, yet the results of that “welfare” still haven’t reached the basement.
In one sharp remark aimed at bachelors paying high rents in Noida, she asked: “Jitne bachelors Noida mein Rs 30,000 – Rs 40,000 rent ke survive karein, aap batao, itna paisa deke aapko home mil raha hai, ya sirf ek expensive address?” (For bachelors surviving in Noida on ₹30,000–₹40,000 rent, tell me — is that money buying you a home or just an expensive address?)
Her caption simply asked: “Noida residents — are we really getting the standard of living we’re paying for?”
