Online shoppers will be aware that delivery men will be required to take photos to show that the items have arrived at the correct location. In the Philippines, some delivery men and receivers have elevated this otherwise boring task by turning it into a photoshoot.
The receivers are seen posing with their things for their delivery men in photographs circulated on social media.
This pattern appears to have begun late last year.
Joyce Epino, a shopper, also prepared a backdrop for the “proof of delivery” photoshoot, according to GMA News Online.
She told GMA that she was disappointed by how unprepared she appeared each time the delivery man showed up.
Another reason for doing so, she said, is to “[spread] love and positive vibes” throughout this trying time.
According to TripZilla, a Facebook post by John Carlo Ison of himself posing with his Zalora order received over 39,000 views.
“Every time I get a box, I get a strange look. But I didn’t let that happen today! I made sure to plan this time when I got a text that I had a new delivery.”
