Rajamouli React To Anand Mahindra’s Request To Make A Movie Based On Indus Valley Civilization

SS Rajamouli is a well-known historical film director. People enjoy watching historical Indian-themed films. The director has received praise and prizes for his historical films, including RRR, Baahubali: The Beginning, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

The masterpiece ultimately defeated Lady Gaga and Rihanna to win the Oscar for Best Original Song. MM Keeravaani collected the Best Original Song award at the 95th Academy Awards and said,

“I grew up listening to The Carpenters, here I am with the Oscars.” “There was only one wish on my mind, so was Rajamouli’s and my family’s, RRR has to win, pride of every Indian and must put me on top of the world.”

RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, made more than $1 billion at international box offices. Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), two real-life Indian rebels, are the focus of this epic action drama. Their imaginary friendship and struggle against the British Raj are depicted.

The renowned businessman this time took to Twitter and gave a shoutout to Mr SS Rajamouli

Mahindra tweeted images from the Indus Valley Civilization and suggested that SS Rajamouli takes into consideration developing a film project based on the ancient towns of the IVC era. He also uploaded a Twitter thread containing historical graphics.

While uploading some gorgeous images of the Indus Valley Civilization, the Telugu director got tagged by business billionaire Anand Mahindra. The merchant remarked that they raised awareness of that historic culture around the world, bringing it to life by capturing our imagination.

Anand Mahindra wrote in his tweet,

“These are amazing illustrations that bring history alive & spark our imagination. Shoutout to @ssrajamouli to consider a film project based on that era that will create global awareness of that ancient civilisation…”

The Indus Valley Civilization’s ancient cities, including Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhu Daro, and Rupar, are included in the Twitter thread. A Twitter user going by the moniker Desi Thug posted the tweet.

The RRR director responded to Anand Mahindra, sharing an account that inspired him to work on a movie based on Indus Valley Civilisation

According to Mr Rajamouli, the inspiration struck him while he was filming the movie Megadheera. SS Rajamouli revealed in a tweet that he came across an extremely old tree that had turned into a fossil while filming a movie in Gujarat’s Dholavira. He also mentioned that he attempted to visit Mohenjo Daro while in Pakistan but was turned away.

SS Rajamouli replied to the industrialist by saying,

“Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus Valley civilization, narrated by that tree!! Visited Pakistan few years later. Tried so hard to visit Mohenjodaro. Sadly, was denied permission.”

SS Rajamouli is presently working on the untitled movie SSMB29 in the wake of his Oscar triumph for the song Naatu Naatu from his film RRR. Mahesh Babu is one of the movie’s stars. According to rumours, Deepika Padukone will also appear in the movie. It hasn’t been officially announced yet.
