The tale of Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi’s romance:

When Indira’s mother, Kamala, fainted during a liberation campaign in 1930, Feroze Gandhi first noticed her at the age of 13 or 14. Feroze was the one who went there to take care of her. When she became sixteen, he asked her to marry him, but she turned him down because she was too young. She then made multiple proposals to his lady love before she finally agreed.

They gradually became close during their time in Britain, and in 1942 they were married. It was assumed on multiple occasions that Indira’s parents disapproved of her union with Feroze. However, Indira once dismissed all of the rumours in an interview, saying that there were some objections and that the rumours were partially genuine. Her family’s worries about her husband’s ability to support her in her goals and unique lifestyle were the only reasons for the disagreement. “I said,” she said.
