Bollywood actors Tiger Shroff, Ajay Devgn, and Shah Rukh Khan’s admirers are giddy with excitement over their appearances in a new Vimal Elaichi commercial. Tiger Shroff, who stood down from the brand last year amid criticism over the marketing of pan masala products through surrogate advertising, makes his debut with the company with this new advertisement.

Vimal New Ad Featuring Tiger Shroff Sparks Humour Among Fans

The commercial features Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan stuck in traffic in a small town. Tiger Shroff then joins them in a lighthearted fight involving the product, much to the entertainment of bystanders, including Amyra Dastur, the actress. As the sequence comes to an end, the stars all drive off together, making fans laugh and referring to the group as the “Vimal Cinematic Universe,” or VCU.

Online, some followers have been lighthearted, joking that “Bade Miyan left” and “Chote Miyan joined.” However, some others believe that these two “old” people—referring to SRK and Ajay—are leading young Indians like Tiger Shroff astray.

Here’s How Fans And Other Netizens Reacted To The New Vimal Ad

Even with its sense of comedy, the advertisement nonetheless sparks controversy over celebrities endorsing tobacco and other dangerous items.

Because of the negative publicity surrounding his relationship with the business, Akshay Kumar had earlier issued an apology, withdrew from the campaign, and pledged to donate his endorsement fee to a charitable organisation.

On the other hand, despite similar criticism, Ajay Devgn has stuck with the brand. Surrogate advertising has come under fire because it includes indirectly endorsing things that are prohibited; Amitabh Bachchan and other celebrities have also retreated from this strategy in response to public uproar.

This blend of controversy and fun draws attention to the persistent conflict between public health advocacy and celebrity influence, and it also raises concerns about the obligations prominent personalities have to their audience and the role they play in product promotion.
