Many of us remember and enjoy Avatar, not just because of its incredible plot, but also because of the incredible world, it depicted. It was such a hit that it went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time. Avatar wasn’t exceeded until Avengers: Endgame was released in 2019. The sequel to this saga is set to be released in 2022, so we’ll actually get to see how Jake Sully’s adventure continues. Meanwhile, we’d like to take a trip down memory lane to recall the actors who brought these famous characters to life on our screens.

1. Zoe Saldana — Neytiri

Zoe Saldana is an actress from the United States who is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. She has appeared in films such as Crossroads, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Star Trek, among others, in addition to playing Neytiri, one of the main characters in Avatar. However, being selected for James Cameron’s visual masterpiece gave her a massive boost in her career.

2. Sigourney Weaver — Dr. Grace Augustine

In Woody Allen’s modern classic Annie Hall, Sigourney Weaver made her acting debut. After that incredible success, she has had many opportunities to demonstrate her talent as an actress in a variety of productions. Her face is well-known today, having appeared in films such as Alien, The Cabin in the Woods, Ghostbusters, and Abduction, among others.

3. Wes Studi — Eytukan

Wes Studi, a member of the Avatar cast, is another incredible performer. He is of Amerindian ancestry, which isn’t a trivial fact. He’s made a career out of portraying characters who are proud of their heritage. Among his credits are The Last of the Mohicans, Geronimo: An American Legend, and The New World. In Avatar, he plays the part of a tribal chief, representing the Na’vi ideals and resistance.

4. Sam Worthington — Jake Sully

Before his performance in Avatar, Sam Worthington was a relatively unknown figure in Hollywood. He, like many other actors, began his career in minor roles. He did, however, come close to playing James Bond in Casino Royale and its sequels. Then, in 2010, he starred as Perseus in Clash of the Titans, which is still his most well-known role. In addition to Everest, The Shack, and Fractured, he had roles in Everest, The Shack, and Fractured.

5. Michelle Rodríguez — Trudy Chacon

Michelle Rodriguez has appeared in many famous films, including The Fast and the Furious and the Resident Evil franchise, in addition to James Cameron’s Avatar. She shot to international fame after starring as Ana Lucia Cortez in the hit television show Lost. She’s also done voice work for a variety of video games, including various Call of Duty and Halo instalments, as well as the animated film 3D Turbo.

6. Laz Alonso — Tsu’tey

Laz Alonso is best known for his work as a Hollywood actor. He did, however, study marketing and even started his own fashion goods business. You can recognise him from shows like CSI: Miami, Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood, and Constantine, among others.

7. Dileep Rao — Dr. Max Patel

Unfortunately, there are only a few dozen films listed in Dileep Rao’s filmography. He has mainly played roles in short films and television shows so far. However, his appearance in Avatar was not only one of his first in the film industry, but also one of his most well-known. Drag Me to Hell, Inception, and Beeba Boys are among his other works. He also appears in all of the sequels to Avatar.

8. C. C. H. Pounder — Mo’at

C. C. H. Pounder is best known for his work on television, having appeared in shows including Hill Street Blues, The X-Files, and Over Time, as well as other iconic shows from the 1980s and 1990s. Classics such as All That Jazz and Bagdad Café, as well as experimental films such as The Importance of Being Earnest, are among the films in which she has starred.

9. Stephen Lang — Coronel Miles Quaritch

Stephen Lang won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his outstanding role as the villain in this well-known film. Manhunter, Law & Order, and Public Enemies are only a few of the other films and shows in which he has starred. “I knew there would be sequels very soon,” the actor said when asked about returning to play in the Avatar sequels. Cameron placed his hand on my shoulder shortly after that, I believe in 2010, and said, ‘You’re coming back, you know that.’

10. Giovanni Ribisi — Parker Selfridge

Giovanni Ribisi has appeared in a number of films, including 60 Seconds, Ted, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Saving Private Ryan. When asked about James Cameron’s film in an interview, he said, “It’s an amazing movie, and there’s this indescribable aspect to it.”

11. Joel Moore — Norm Spellman

Joel Moore is a film producer and director in addition to being an actress. He has starred in a number of famous television shows and films, including Boston Public, Six Feet Under, and Bones. He also appeared in Katy Perry’s music video for “Waking Up in Vegas.”
