What Happened to These Iconic Actors Who Never Found Their Place in Hollywood

Competition is extremely high among actors! Hundreds of young, talented people who hope to be movie stars are bombarded every day in Hollywood. On the big screen, more and more new faces appear and as once-iconic actors become less and less famous, we don’t always note. It’s been quite some time, after all, since the last time we learned about Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Jennifer Love Hewitt.

We wanted to find out what celebrities who became famous after vanishing from our screens for their great roles did. As it turns out, some of them have willingly given up on their jobs, such as Cameron Diaz, for instance, and she is loving her life and writing books at the moment.

Zooey Deschanel

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard something we remember from (500) Days of Summer and Yes Man about the adorable Zooey Deschanel. Her last major project was working on the New Girl show, and for 10 years now, she has not acted in a leading role.

The actress, as it turns out, has 2 kids and has decided to focus on her family. But he’s also busy with Zooey. She recently started a project to make farm food more affordable and she appears in advertisements often.

Jennifer Love Hewitt

The star of Heartbreakers and I Know What You Did Last Summer no longer appears as often in public. She took a break in 2012 to dedicate her life to her kids and husband, and she vowed to return to fresh, bright roles. Unfortunately, she’s just been on the show 9-1-1 since then.

Casper Van Dien

Everybody knew who Casper was, thanks to his role in Starship Troopers, and he started getting major offers from directors. He starred in Tarzan and the Lost City and Sleepy Hollow after that, but these roles remain the best to this day in his career. Casper still stars in movies, but they’re just action flicks with a low budget.

Daryl Hannah

For the young Daryl Hannah, her role in the famous Blade Runner was a happy ticket to the cinema world. She was invited to act as the leading actress in several different projects and, day by day, she became more and more popular. Her last major project was the role of an elite assassin in Kill Bill and its 2004 sequel. According to critics and viewers, all her subsequent ventures were not as successful.

Charlie Sheen

After the show, Anger Management, we have not really seen Charlie Sheen on-screen. Outside the movie industry, the various controversies and health problems the actor encountered prevented him from returning to the acting world. He still performs some parts, but typically they are in lesser-known movies or episodes of shows.

To be liked by audiences, Alyson Hannigan didn’t even need a leading role. In American Pie, we loved her and completely adored her in How I Met Your Mother. The actress continued to appear in numerous projects after the series ended, but all of them were either very bad or just not famous at all.

Many Andie MacDowell movies have become popular, such as Groundhog Day, Hudson Hawk, Michael, and Crush. But still, since 2005, the star of the 1990s hasn’t had any major roles. Today, rather than on the movie screen, you’re more likely to see Andie at a gathering.

Claire Forlani

This British actress proved that in any role, be it a comedy or drama, she could be fine. Unfortunately, talent didn’t help Claire Forlani find her place in Hollywood: she never got a really famous role. In the past, in films such as Meet Joe Black, Hooligans, and Mallrats, she was given leading roles, but now, she only stars in TV series and disappointing films.

Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry had the best chance of becoming a Hollywood celebrity among all the actors from Friends. Cameron Diaz

The breakthrough in the career of Cameron Diaz was the film The Mask, in which she and Jim Carrey starred. She became famous as a star of different romantic comedies after that. She has made more than 50 films and won numerous nominations and prestigious awards.

The actress vanished after 2014 and she joked a little later in an interview that she had retired. Cameron declined to star in movies purposefully because she knew she didn’t know where to go next and what to do. She is living a calm life now, writing novels, and not being on the red carpet.
