Shakti Kapoor is one of Bollywood’s most well-known villains. People have a specific perception of you when you are shown as the bad boy on the big screen. Shakti has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, from a casting couch sting operation to his mistreatment of women.
In 2005, India TV staged an explosive sting operation in which a female journalist dressed as an aspiring actress met him. His comments, which were captured on video, caused a stir throughout the industry, highlighting the reality of Bollywood’s casting couch.
“I want to make love to you,” he told the undercover reporter, “and if you want to come into this line (the film industry), you have to do what I’m instructing you to do.” He then goes on to mention three ladies who got into movies by “sleeping their way in.” He explained how Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukerji had to visit Subhash Ghai and Yash Johar, respectively. He also mentioned Preity Zinta’s name.

Shakti Kapoor was barred from the profession by the Film and Television Producers Guild of India when the news spread like wildfire.
Shakti informed the Film and Television Producers Guild of India that the undercover reporter met him numerous times and threatened to commit suicide if he did not come to the hotel room she had booked, according to the International Business Times. The ban was later removed since there was no sufficient evidence against the seasoned actor.
As he dragged Subhash Ghai and Preity Zinta, they later on bashed him in an interaction with PTI as quoted by Hindustan Times.

“It’s unfortunate that people like Shakti paint our industry and senior citizens in such a negative light. I am confident that our organisations will take measures in response to such crimes “Ghai explained.
“This comment is made in a very horrible taste and he is clearly a person who has no regard for anyone and no honour,” Preity Zinta, who has also been chastised by Kapoor, stated.
“I am glad to be a part of the profession,” she said, “but I believe that one bad apple spoils the bunch; he is a true real-life villain who deserves to be barred from our sector because he has no place here.”
