A woman from Michigan requested a Lyft ride but was flatly turned down because of her weight.

Dank Demoss, a stage name for Dajua Blanding, recounted how a driver told her that she was too large to fit in his Mercedes-Benz and that his “tires were not capable.” Online uproar swiftly erupted over the video, with people siding with either the woman or the driver.

Dank Demoss, also known as Dajua Blanding, posted on social media about how a Lyft driver rejected her.

Speaking about the incident, Demoss disclosed that she asked for a ride in order to watch the Lions playoff game at her cousin’s place. The driver allegedly looked at her when he arrived and locked the doors, preventing her from getting inside his Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

Demoss was heard saying, “I can fit in this car,” in a video that she uploaded on January 19. The driver answered, “You can’t, believe me.” “… I apologise. I will be cancelling. There will be no charges made to you.

According to the rapper, she has no trouble riding in cars of a comparable size and could fit in his car. She told TMZ that the driver, however, maintained that “his tires were not capable” and that his vehicle was too small.

In the widely shared video, the Detroit rapper could be heard saying, “I can fit in this car.”

In addition to acknowledging the occurrence, Lyft expressed their disappointment over the “driver’s unacceptable behaviour.”

Online discussions on who was at fault erupted after the incident.
