A 50-year-old mother who doesn’t look a day older than 20 appears to be so involved that her son is mistaken for her significant other. Despite working as a librarian for more than three decades, Liu Yelin, who was born in 1968, does not appear to be any older. She’s now retired, but she still has radiant skin, super-toned skin, and no wrinkles to be seen. Millions of internet users have been astounded by the Chinese woman’s astonishingly youthful appearance.
Liu Yelin, 50, exudes such vigor that she is often mistaken for her 22-year-old son’s girlfriend.
Ms. Liu, in particular, follows a strict beauty regimen that includes regular exercise, swimming in the pool, and weight training. ‘When I tell people I’m almost 50, they’re always surprised. When I go shopping and tell people my real age, I’m usually surrounded by strangers who are eager to learn my secrets. If you think you look bad, it’s because you’ve been sweating a lot. I’m 15 years old.’ Ms. Liu told MailOnline about the situation.
The optimistic mom, who goes by the screen name ‘Yen Wen,’ admitted that her age-defying appearance has caused her headaches, particularly because people often confuse her son, 22, for her partner. She described an incident at a wedding where she and her son, who works as an assistant for a film production company, were asked if they were dating by guests.
Despite having admirable olive skin and a flawless complexion, the energetic mom insists she seldom uses body makeup. Rather, she attributes her youthful beauty to regular exercise and swimming. ‘I do a lot of swimming and weight training in the pool. Swimming outside in the winter is my favourite activity. I strip down to my bikini and plunge into cold water whenever people wear down jackets. Much of the time, I have to force myself to do it.’ Ms. Liu elaborated.
