The Uttar Pradesh police have detained YouTuber Gulzar Sheikh for attempting to threaten the lives of commuters by putting various objects—such as soaps, stones, and cycles—on railway tracks in the guise of creating content. Shehzad Poonawalla, the BJP spokesperson, made the announcement.

Following a complaint from Legal Hindu Defence on Sheikh’s risky behaviour, the arrest took place. RPF Post Unchahar (Lucknow Division) under RPF Post Kunda filed a complaint against Gulzar. The culprit was swiftly taken into custody by the RPF from his home in the Uttar Pradesh village of Khandrauli.
The BJP leader acknowledged that the YouTuber has been taken into custody and called the accused a “Rail Jihadi” in a post on X. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to UP Police Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaihnaw for their swift response.

“I promised you that Rail Jihadi won’t be spared by authorities @legalhindudef. Rail Jihadi Gulzar was detained. In a post on X, he expressed his gratitude to “@myogiadityanath @Uppolice @RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw.”

The lawsuit highlighted the possibility of public mischief and probable train derailments and listed infractions under sections 147, 145, and 153 of the Railway Act as well as particular portions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
When one looks closely at Sheikh’s “Gulzar Indian Hacker” YouTube channel, a disconcerting collection of short films and videos show him putting different objects on train lines. His material was always action-packed, even if he would sometimes include disclaimers cautioning viewers not to attempt the feats. Among the more than 243 videos on the channel, one short has received 15 million views. With over 235,000 subscribers and over 137 million views overall, it is rather impressive.
