Zeenat Aman, a legendary actress, was one of her generation’s most popular actors and models. She was the first Indian to win the Miss Asia Pacific pageant in 1970 at the age of 19. Vardhini Karvaste, a Maharashtrian Brahmin mother, and the stunning actress’s Muslim father welcomed her into the world on November 19, 1951. She has had a passion for dancing and movies since she was a little child, thanks to the fact that her father, Amanullah Khan, was a scriptwriter and that Zeenat was a distant relative of the well-known actor Raza Murad.

Zeenat Aman, a person with extensive ties to the Hindi cinema industry, made her acting debut in the 1971 movie Hare Ram Hare Krishna. In so many critically praised films over the course of her brilliant playing career, Zeenat had collaborated with some of the biggest actors of her generation.

Satyam Shivam Sundaram’s Love Sublime, Don, Qurbani, Yaadon Ki Baarat, Laawaris, Dostana, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Dharam Veer, and Hum Kisise Kum Naheen are a few of Zeenat Aman’s most prominent movies. Zeenat Aman was the woman of every man’s dreams, yet she never had a long-lasting, wholesome relationship. In 1978, the actress married Sanjay Khan for the first time in her life. The actress had taken the risk while being aware that Sanjay was previously wed to Zarine Katrak. But after a few months of marriage, everything had fallen apart, and Sanjay quickly left her when their union was declared null and void in 1979.

Zeenat Aman, an actress who had a tragic marriage to Sanjay Khan, took comfort in the company of actor Mazhar Khan. Azaan Khan and Zahaan Khan were born in 1985, the year they both got married and had children. However, soon before Mazhar passed away in 1998, Zeenat made the difficult decision to end her relationship with him owing to intense mental distress.

Despite the fact that everyone was aware of Zeenat Aman’s troubled marriage to Sanjay Khan, who frequently kicked and slapped the actress throughout their miserable union, However, one particular episode, reveals everything about the kind of spouse Sanjay Khan was to his ex-wife Zeenat, is still unrecorded in history.

Zeenat Aman and Sanjay Khan

For those who don’t know, Sanjay Khan urged Zeenat Aman to come to Mumbai right away while she was filming in Lonavala with the cast and crew of one of her movies. Zeenat and the actor both appeared in the movie Abdullah, which he also directed. As a result, he instructed Zeenat to return to Bombay since he needed to finish filming a song for their movie. Zeenat initially declined it since she had already set up dates with other directors, but she eventually agreed to go to Bombay because she was so madly in love with her husband, Sanjay.

When the actress got to Sanjay Khan’s house, she learned that the director and his wife, Zarine Katrak, were having a good time at the Taj Hotel. But when Zeenat Aman arrived at the Taj hotel and only wanted to discuss dates with Sanjay, the latter responded in a way that still gave everyone goosebumps. Sanjay lost it completely and beat Zeenat inside the hotel room as soon as he learned that she had come into the building to meet him in front of his wife, Zarine Katrak. It was the darkest day of Zeenat’s life, with him grabbing her by her hair, slapping her on the floor, and randomly punching her.

Zeenat Aman was being continuously beaten by Sanjay Khan inside the hotel room, and neither the staff nor any guests arrived to protect the actress from his fury. Zarine Katrak was the only person in the room, but to everyone’s surprise, she applauded and supported her husband as he brutally beat Zeenat. In addition, Zarine verbally attacked the actress and demanded that Sanjay teach her a lesson she would never forget.

Zeenat Aman wasn’t the first time Sanjay Khan had been physical with the actress inside the hotel room. But that day was different because he allowed his inner animal to go wild. Sanjay repeatedly slammed Zeenat’s head against the ground while she was being beaten, irreversibly harming one of her eyes. Although the medical disease is typically identified in the early years of childhood, the actress’s onset of it at such a young age was the result of a severe blow to the head.

Zeenat Aman has not reported her husband, Sanjay Khan, to the police despite being brutally assaulted by him. The cause? She had truly loved him with all of her heart and soul, therefore she made the choice to leave him without holding him accountable for his cruel actions. However, as soon as the incident hit the press, Zeenat’s doctor revealed in an interview that Sanjay had previously given her a black eye. Unexpectedly, the actress’ doctor had stated:

“This is not the first time this man (Sanjay Khan) has beaten her. Once before, she (Zeenat Aman) was given a black eye and kicked in the ribs so hard that I insisted on an X-Ray for fear of a crack.”

Zeenat Aman’s close ones confirmed Sanjay Khan had beaten her badly

After the incident entered the headlines, Sanjay Khan was the target of several criticisms. He had then said that Zeenat Aman’s eye condition was a hereditary issue. The director had previously indicated that Zeenat’s mother had strabismus, a medical disease and that their daughter had inherited it from her. However, the hotel’s unnamed sources and Zeenat’s close pals were able to confirm that everything reported in the media indeed took place. One of the actress’s personal sources has stated:

“We all know what had happened between Sanjay Khan and Zeenat. I was a first-hand witness to it. First of all, anyone, who raises his hand on a woman and that too so brutally that she is scarred for life, should be in jail, not writing his self-glorifying fairytale biography. And secondly, if you were brazen enough to humiliate and hurt a lady in public, why are you shy of admitting it now? This is as bad as the film Sanju which completely whitewashed Sanjay Dutt’s image.”

There is no disputing that the actress deserves all the love and admiration in the world for consistently finding a way to survive, even during the most hopeless circumstances. One of the most beautiful and accomplished actresses in Indian cinema, Zeenat Aman will always be remembered.
