There has been a troubling occurrence in Kanpur’s Barra police station area where a Zepto delivery boy is accused of harassing a woman by sending her offensive SMS beyond 2:00 AM. Screenshots of these offensive statements were shared on social media by an X user, and they soon gained widespread attention. Both locally and online, this act has provoked outrage and alarm.
Delivery staff from Zepto have previously been accused of mistreating women. Zepto delivery employees have faced allegations in the past for mistreating women. For instance, a woman in Mumbai’s Khar neighbourhood accused a Zepto rider of molestation in December 2022. The cyclist was detained after posting about her encounter on social media.
