Since Heidi Klum surprised her fans by posting a picture of her indulgence in a large slice of pizza, we have heard many supermodels admitting their love for fast food. Ironically enough, it turned out that starving and refusing your favourite food, even in high fashion, had nothing to do with being in good shape.

1. Heidi Klum

This 4-kid supermodel and mom is often asked about the diet she follows to look so beautiful and youthful. In her interviews, Heidi says she is following no specific diet except for balanced eating which means cooking at home rather than eating out. She believes you can’t control what’s added to each meal when you eat out or when you order food. Heidi has yet another secret: she is eating her last meal at 6 p.m. And gives her body more time to digest and burn the extra calories alone.

2. Josephine Skriver

Josephine Skriver combines successful morning workouts and nutritious breakfasts, making her day highly productive. Her key to fighting hunger is to always have a bunch of snacks that you can easily carry in your bag. The model selects bars for nut or protein, packets for instant-oatmeal, and fruit. As she calls them, Josephine also has “treat days,” when she can eat pizza, burgers or her favourite dark chocolate.

3. Bella Hadid

The Victoria’s Secret model claimed in one of their Snapchat posts that eating a grilled cheese with fries and ketchup is her daily routine. Bella knows how to enjoy simple culinary pleasures like pizza which she especially likes. To many of us, this may sound like a dream diet but our bodies are different, and although eating pizza does not affect the form of Bella, it may have the opposite impact on others.

4. Kendall Jenner

Looking through Kendall’s social media accounts you’ll see pictures of junk food she sometimes posts. Generally sticking to healthy eating, she often enjoys treating herself with the so-called “cheat meals.” Cheating in a diet gives you planned permission to eat something that isn’t so healthy (but so badly desired) and reduces the psychological stress you may be experiencing when you restrain. However, when it comes to fashion shows, Kendall likes nutritious snacks such as fruits and vegetables and detox tea beverages.

Health, beauty and lifestyle author Lisa Lorles is on her YouTube channel sharing exercise and healthy eating tips. Ironically enough, she does not remove bread, pancakes or even doughnuts from her balanced recipes. Lisa doesn’t count calories, so she’s making sure she’s eating good food that’s high in vitamins, minerals and complex carbs. Her secret is to choose highly energetic and fill breakfast food such as oat pancakes with maple syrup and drink plenty of water in between her meals.

6. Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr sticks to a balanced diet but she still doesn’t die of hunger. Miranda enjoys a cup of hot water with fresh lemon to start the day and wake her body up. She has fruit and vegetable smoothies throughout the day, salmon with a fresh salad and a soft, roasted chicken. Miranda likes to cook for her son and herself one of the meals is oat and banana pancakes that make up a healthy and tasty breakfast.

7. Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra begins her day with eggs and avocado toast, drinks some green juice after a morning workout, and then has something nutritious for lunch and dinner, like chicken, fish, sushi, or Brazilian BBQ. Her secret to her perfect shape is to stay hydrated throughout the day and drink lots of green tea which has a lot of health benefits. Green tea can particularly boost your metabolism and increase fat burning.

8. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie says she is following a healthy diet, which means she has no dairy, no gluten, no sugar and no alcohol. She can’t stay away from delicious food and drinks entirely though, and that’s why she practices the so-called “80/20” law. Following this scheme, 80 per cent of the time you can eat healthily and encourage yourself to “cheat” the other 20 per cent of the time. “I ‘m definitely trying to make good decisions, but you know, if I’m going to have some French fries, or if I’m going to share a dessert or a dessert with others, you want to enjoy those things in life,” Rosie said.

9. Cara Delevingne

Cara is frequently seen eating fast food in photoshoots and fashion shows. Whilst many models adhere to strict diets, she has a relaxed approach to her diet plan. On the contrary, she is sure it’s just horrible to be told to lose weight and have to starve. While she is in pizza, burgers and other “junk food,” at the gym, Cara never forgets to work out and loses extra calories.

10. Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid made headlines as she was chowing down with Jimmy Fallon on a burger at The Tonight Show. It turns out that during her first year in New York City, Gigi ordered a burger out of a different restaurant every week. While taking bites of her favourite food with excitement, the model said she is living by the motto: “Eat clean to stay fit — eat a burger to stay healthy.”
