Gauri Khan, the wife of actor Shah Rukh Khan, is a well-known celebrity interior designer who has decorated a number of celebrity residences, designer shops, restaurants, and other opulent venues for India’s elite. Her unmistakable approach to utilising statement pieces to accentuate a place is evident in all of her work. Here are a few of the famous residences she has created:
1. Karan Johar’s Lavish Penthouse Terrace
The expansive terrace of Karan’s 8000-square-foot duplex was created by Gauri, making it a genuinely opulent area. This minimalist patio offers unequalled peace and quiet despite being located in the middle of busy Carter Road. Even in its cosier parts, the space exudes modernism thanks to its timber accents and furniture, lush foliage, and soft lighting. A structural outside bar serves as the terrace’s focal point.
2. KJo’s Twins, Yash and Roohi’s Nursery
In 2017, Karan used a surrogate to give birth to twins Yash and Roohi, and he assigned his close friend Gauri the task of putting up their nursery. She turned one of the apartment’s bedrooms into a white nursery for his twins. Gauri made sure Karan would be completely satisfied, down to the white furniture and dark oak flooring and jungle-themed decals.

3. Ranbir Kapoor’s New Bachelor Pad
Junior Kapoor asked renowned interior designer Gauri Khan to make his Pali Hill, Mumbai, bungalow into a home when he moved out of his parent’s home to live independently. The living area appears posh with a deep crimson velvet sofa and a high ceiling decorated with a candlelight chandelier hung diagonally, even if the couple didn’t share many images of the home. The living room is a pleasant and uplifting space thanks to the windows in the back, which provide plenty of natural light.
4. Jacqueline Fernandez’s Cozy New House
Jacqueline was another A-list celebrity who Gauri assisted in finding their ideal home. Making the most of straightforward interior design ideas like wallpaper, colourful pillows, hip artwork, and a Gauri classic focal point that is an aesthetically pleasing, diminutive ladder from the old-school era.
5. Sidharth Malhotra’s Luxurious New House
The Bandra apartment of Sidharth Malhotra epitomises modern luxury. Gauri converted Alia’s vanity truck into her second home, but it wasn’t a real house (on wheels). Alia shared the stylish room, complete with a neon-lit area, cosy single bed, and functional kitchen, on her Instagram account.
