One of the most prominent and well-known vocalists in Bollywood is Alka Yagnik. She was the undisputed queen of melody in the 1990s and is still a prominent performer today. One of the busiest female playback singers in Indian cinema, Alka Yagnik has done various female solos throughout her career in Bollywood.
She has recorded more than 2,000 songs in more than 16 languages, all with her entrancing voice. Her fans love her and her abilities because she has so far given great performances of songs. Most of her songs have been big blockbusters in the industry, from Chamma Chamma from China Gate to Ek Do Teen from Tezaab.
Yagnik has judged several singing competition series in addition to performing, including Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, Indian Idol, and Superstar Singer, among others. Even while her work life is highly known, few people are aware of how well she has performed in her home life.

Alka Yagnik and Neeraj Kapoor’s Love Story
In 1986, Alka Yagnik and her mother took the train to New Delhi. Neeraj Kapoor, the mother of her mother’s acquaintance, arrived at the early-morning railway station to fetch them up. They got acquainted there first. When they first met, they both had pleasant, loving expressions.
Alka and Neeraj kept in touch frequently after this. Their adoring friendship grew and grew for almost six months. The need to move on was then shared by both of them as their romantic chemistry grew.
Alka Yagnik Marriage
Following around two years of closeness and strong romantic chemistry, both parties decided to get legally wed for the long term. Alka reached the pinnacle of her career in 1988 with the wildly successful song Ek Do Teen.
The pair made the decision to wed in the same year on behalf of both families. But their families were concerned about their distinguished careers. Additionally, there is a physical distance between them.
Nevertheless, their families approved of the wedding because they were genuinely in love with each other. Finally, in February 1989, they got hitched. Neeraj used to reside in Shillong while Alka stayed in Bombay. Sayesha, their daughter, was born the same year and frequently resided with Alka.
Down moments in their marriage
The couple initially tried to keep their marriage together. Neeraj would frequently travel to Mumbai, whilst Alka would spend a month every year with her family in Shillong. However, this could not last for very long. Alka Yagnik’s choices in the workplace forced her to stay in Mumbai. Shillong-based businessman Alka Yagnik’s husband was unable to change his work schedule or leave Shillong.
The two soon fell out of contact with one another due to various issues and didn’t see one another for four or five years. But they realised later that they needed each other to survive.

Even after having lived away for more than 20 years, Alka Yagnik and Neeraj Kapoor overcome all challenges. On holiday, Alka and Neeraj get together. Furthermore, they readily acknowledged and supported one another’s goals.
Even after 27 years of marriage, Alka and Neeraj are still in love and have no regrets whatsoever.
