Anand Mahindra Responds After Being Praised For Mahindra Scorpio’s Safety

Mahindra Scorpio N received a 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating under the organization’s new criteria, which evaluate frontal and side impact protection, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and pedestrian protection.

Just when Anand Mahindra was feeling proud of the safety norms of his Mahindra vehicles, a man came up with a warm and kind compliment

The tweet also involves an association with Rohit Shetty’s Singham film series,

Referring to the movie, one of his followers tweeted,

“Mr. Rohit Shetty needs to find other cars for the stunt scene in his movies the mighty Scorpio is super safe”

Elated by this compliment, Anand Mahindra responded to the user on Tuesday

He wrote,

The updated crash test guidelines for the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) went into effect on July 1, 2022. First body-on-frame SUV to receive a 5-star rating was the Scorpio-N.

On December 12, the findings of the crash tests were made available. It states that the Mahindra Scorpio-N obtained three stars for child occupant protection and five stars for protecting adult occupants. The Maruti Suzuki Swift, on the other hand, only scored one star for the protection of both adult and child occupants.

After the XUV700 and XUV300, the Scorpio-N, which made its debut in June 2022, is Mahindra’s third SUV to receive a 5-star rating. In 2020, the Mahindra XUV300 got India’s first “Safer Choice” Award (from GNCAP), becoming the brand’s first SUV to do so, and in 2021, the XUV700 did likewise. In 2020 and 2018, Thar and Marazzo, two more Mahindra body-on-frame vehicles, each achieved a 4-star rating.
