There isn’t a single celebrity who hasn’t encountered the wrath of social media users. Now and then, we read about one of our favourite celebrities being trolled for whatever reason. Anil Kapoor was one of them, and in a recent episode of Arbaaz Khan’s chat show Pinch, he responded to some of the insults in the greatest possible way.

Anil Kapoor is one of Hindi cinema’s fittest performers. He’s also been dubbed one of the “timeless” performers, as he doesn’t appear to age on or off screen, according to fans. Many people have asked him why he is so fit in interviews, and a few others have made a lot of assumptions based on his toned figure.

The public is curious as to how Anil Kapoor, who is in his 60s, manages to stay so young and fit. There have been a lot of rumours on social media that Anil must be doing some strange things in his life to stay healthy in addition to his training.

Arbaaz Khan’s chat programme Pinch recently had the actor as a guest. Arbaaz Khan presented Anil Kapoor clips of trolls remarking on his appearance during a section of the show. As one person put it,

When confronted with such trolls, Anil immediately said, “Yeh authentic hai ke aap logon ne paise deke (Is this genuine or were you people paid to say this)?” The actor was reassured by the host that these were genuine remarks.

Anil revealed to Arbaaz that he owes it to himself and his fans to take care of himself because of his fortunate existence, both professionally and financially. “, he explained.

“I’ve gotten so much that it improves with your appearance. Everyone has ups and downs in their lives, but I’ve been fortunate. I’ve been fortunate. I believe there are 24 hours in a day; if you can’t take care of yourself for even one hour, what is the point?”

Anil then responded to another troll who referred to him and his daughter Sonam Kapoor as “shameless,” saying,

“Agar unhoney aisa comment kiya hai to vo sayad burey mood me they, ya dukhi they (If the person has commented like this, then they must either be in a bad mood or upset).”

Anil also addressed the criticism he received when he first entered the profession for lacking the charisma of a star. “Says the actor,”

“I used to consider it as a complement when people compared me to Sanjeev Kumar, and I used to be ecstatic that they were comparing me to our country’s best actor. People at the time had a different viewpoint. My peers’ initial pictures were far more successful than mine; even Mashaal didn’t do well, but my work was recognised, and I was able to acquire more work as a result. People used to tell me that I didn’t look like a star, and I used to tell them, “Ki, let me develop where my presence and physically are concerned.”

He believes that there is always the potential for development and that if he does not perform well, he is deceiving his audience.
