Hrithik Roshan is a Bollywood actor who has had a lot of success. Despite being a celebrity child, he demonstrated that he is here as a result of his hard work. With Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai, the actor made his Bollywood debut and won our hearts. After a string of flops, he found success with Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish. He didn’t look back and went on to star in numerous well-received flicks. As a sultry burglar in Dhoom 2, he made our hearts skip a beat, and as Jodha Akbar, he wowed us.
There were, however, a few hit films that Hrithik turned down. Take a look:
1. Swades– 2004
Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film Lagaan was nominated for an Academy Award, and every star wanted to work with him. Hrithik was approached for Swadesh, but the actor was preoccupied with his film schedule. Hrithik Roshan was the director’s choice to play Mohan Bhargava. Shah Rukh Khan afterwards took over the part. People still enjoy seeing the film, which has become a cult classic.
2. Bunty Aur Babli– 2005
Hrithik was approached for Bunty Aur Babli before Dhoom 2. He didn’t think he was the appropriate fit for the part and suggested Abhishek Bachchan instead. The film went on to be a huge success.
3. Rang De Basanti– 2006
Even today, it is regarded as one of Bollywood’s best films. Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, and others are among the cast members. Many well-known figures in the industry were approached to participate. Except for DJ, Hrithik was offered one of the lead roles. He turned it down because he was filming Krish at the time.
4. Dil Chahta Hai– 2001
The film directed by Farhan Akhtar was much ahead of its time. It was as though someone had blown fresh air into my lungs. Aamir Khan was so taken with the script that he persuaded Saif Ali Khan to join the film. Hrithik Roshan, on the other hand, was offered the role of Sid. Later, Akshaye Khanna took over the role and wowed the audience.
5. Main Hoon Na– 2004
In the film, Farah Khan wanted Hrithik to play Shah Rukh’s younger brother. Hrithik said he didn’t want to pursue repeating parts, thus he turned down the part. He assumed the name Zayed Khan.
6. Pink Panther 2– 2009
After the huge success of Dhoom 2, the audience adored Hrithik and Aishwarya’s pairing. They also worked on the films Jodha Akbar and Guzaarish. Hrithik couldn’t do Pink Panther 2 because he was working on other projects.
7. Shhuddhi
It is one of Dharma’s most anticipated projects. More information regarding the film is still unknown, although conjecture about the cast is rife. Hrithik and Kareena were contacted to star in the film, but they declined. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were later offered roles in the film.
8. Hindi Remake of I
The film is directed by Vikram and stars him. In Tollywood, I was a great hit. The developers of the Hindi adaptation wanted Hrithik Roshan to take the lead role. According to reports, actor Mahesh Babu will make his acting debut in this film.
9. Fast and Furious
Hrithik Roshan is a big fan of Rob Cohen, the director of the Fast and Furious franchise. He even wanted him to be a franchise member. Hrithik, on the other hand, has chosen to focus solely on Bollywood.
10. Hamlet Adaptation by Tigmanshu Dhulia
He wanted Hrithik to be the leading man in this film. Hamlet Adaptation was already created by Onir and Vishal Bhardwaj. Haider, starring Shahid Kapoor, was a great hit, and the actor even received prizes for his portrayal. Hrithik rejected the notion, and Tigmanshu eventually changed his mind and abandoned the idea.
