Britney Spears is being pulled up on one of her Instagram pictures for an embarrassingly poor piece of Photoshop.

The 37-year-old pop icon posted a bathroom selfie on social media on Saturday, waking up posing in a white shirt and plaid skirt with midriff-baring.

But while the aim may have been to give fans a dose of Baby One More Time nostalgia, thousands of people couldn’t help but note that her poor picture editing has spilt into the furniture behind her.

In the photo, Britney poses partly in front of her face with her camera, snapping herself into a full-length mirror in her bathroom.

She’s dressed in a white button-down top tucked under her arms, and a plaid black-and-white skirt, much like the schoolgirl’s outfit she wore for her first single in her video.

People enjoyed the vibes of the throwback but others were even more struck by the fact that the drawers of the bathroom behind her were severely blurred.

‘She bent down the drawers so short,’ one fan joked.

‘She’s so slim that she’s actually influencing the furniture around her to make it look even slim,’ another quipped.

Some were able to step in and give her advice.

‘You need to focus on improving the background while editing your pics to make your hips look slimmer,’ one suggested.

‘I need to give her some lessons about the dimension. Those worn-out cabinets are not appropriate,’ another said.

Others were swift to defend her and even jokingly denied editing the snap.

‘Because shes so skinny, go back to school kids, it’s not facetune sweeties it’s gravitational waves.’ While most people seemed to find the snafu amusing, a few did not. They also expressed concern for Britney, who has a history of mental illness.

‘Am I the only one who really cares about this woman? She acts like a doll or a puppet and one wrote while she’s spoken.

‘I’m sorry, but I’ve got to unfollow you because I feel like I’m one of the millions that allow this and it’s obviously getting to the point that it’s unhealthy,’ another wrote. ‘I feel partly guilty just watching these videos.’ Interestingly enough, Britney posted a video taken just a day later at the same location, confirming that the drawers behind are not really wavy — and showing what her figure looks like without editing tools.

And despite Britney’s explicit photo-editing, the star allegedly accused Photoshopping paparazzi of her pictures in an early June video of her Instagram stories.

‘My question to you all is Many fans … Criticize people, and suggest the pictures and videos they’re uploading are either not [current] or they’re fake,’ she said, Yahoo said.

‘But no one ever really asks: Are the paparazzi pictures fake? And do the paparazzi people do stuff to the pictures? And is the news really real? It’s a conspiracy theory that I’m actually interested in.’

‘Yesterday I went swimming. [In some paparazzi photos], I look like I’m 40 pounds bigger than I am today. This is how I am right now,’ she went on, showing her body. ‘I’m skinny as a needle. You tell me: What is real?’
