For anyone watching reality TV, whether what we see is true, there is always that issue. Hate to be the bad news bearer. But it is orchestrated most of the so-called reality shows. Not everyone is, but many of your favourite programs have behind-the-scenes secrets that will make you think they could be as well. Let’s look at it:
1. Kaun Banega Crorepati
KBC is one of India’s most revered reality shows on television with an exciting storyline and premise. One of the reasons people love to watch the show is the host, Amitabh Bachchan. But some of the show’s dark secrets are still unknown to many. Let’s look at it:
- False Stories Of Contestants: Until the show is broadcast, the contestants have no right to say anything and the short story about contestants is also believed to be a false one to sympathize with viewers and get TRPs.
- Earnings after-tax deduction: Assume you received Rs. 1 Crore in KBC, then only Rs. 69.10 Lakhs will be taken home after the 0.9 per cent cessation and 30 per cent TDS deduction.
- Crowd poll: The computer is not issued to many people in the audience. According to the questions, the results of the audience vote are skewed. If it is a question of a small amount then the outcome of the poll is generally correct to give the correct answer! But if you take the survey in Rs. 1 Crore query then you will be surprised by the outcome of the audience vote!!
2. Bigg Boss
Bigg Boss, one of Television’s most divisive series, has been entertaining its viewers for many years. For reality shows, the series is one of the best shows. The reality show is going with season 13 at the moment. The series has already hit the second level and is earning tremendous TRPs. We have some of Big Boss’s dark and dirty secrets:
- Eviction Game: no matter how much you vote for your favourite contestant, he/she will still be disqualified if Bigg Boss’s management team feels he/she can not bag the TRP’s!!
- Cleaning staff in the house: well, it’s not the cottages but the cleaning staff who do the job and it’s also reported that the staff sometimes even cooks!!
- Liquors are allowed: although the show says that the contestants do not allow anything of this kind, do you know that Bigg Boss serves the contestants with liquors? Yeah, you were right to hear it! Some of the contestants can not live without alcohol so that in Juice Packaging, the producers take care of their needs and provide liquor.
3. India’s Got Talent & Indian Idol
India’s Got Talent is an Indian reality television show on the television network of Colors and is part of the British Got Talent franchise. The series encourages and fosters fresh talent throughout the globe and is a show that everyone loves. Indian Idol, on the other hand, is a singing reality show on Sony TV. There are, however, some information about the shows you might be shocked to see:
- The winners are pre-decided: I’m sorry, but it’s the fact that is already written in the script that is going to win. I know who will win all the time, based on their background story and their success among viewers.
- The poor contestants are deliberately placed there: these so-called show clowns don’t slip on the stage. The organizers carefully place them to create a funny fake scene. Sad thing is, because of such horrific plays, the real talent is overshadowed.
- Planned: It’s alleged to be planned to please the audience and make money instead of supporting real talent across the world.
- You can’t enter by auditions: it’s rumoured that you don’t have to make the cut even after you’ve been lining up for auditions since morning. Only if you’ve got a jack or the show’s producers have called you, only then can you be on the show. Otherwise, sorry but it won’t help to stand up for auditions.
4. Splitsvilla
MTV Splitsvilla is a reality-dating Indian television show broadcast on MTV India. It is now hosted by Rannvijay Singh and Sunny Leone, previously hosted by Nikhil Chinapa. The show is popular with young people and is loved by factors such as jealousy, hatred, friendship, backstabbing, and breakups!! But there’s something about the show that could leave you in a shocking state:
- Scripted breakups and love stories: it could be ascertained from a former contestant Mia Lakra’s story where she discussed a breakup tale that seemed logically incorrect.
- Set winners: The winners are expected to have been prefixed as “The season has just rolled out on television. But everything is set. The near helpers of Rannvijay, Varun Sood and Gurmeet Singh, would be the finalists with Gurmeet eventually emerging as the winner, “revealed a website industry source.
