The 48-year-old David Beckham treasured a special time with his daughter Harper in a touching Instagram picture. Harper put on his makeup expertly in anticipation of Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week presentation.
David boldly uploaded a video of himself and his 12-year-old daughter sharing a kiss on the lips, despite the controversy around the same. There was even a cute duet to a Taylor Swift song in the video. “My little makeup artist is talented and has a great playlist,” was the message he added to the post. Hello, Taylor Swift. As Harper skillfully sprayed the setting spray towards the end of the video, a touching scene featuring the father and daughter sharing a tender kiss in anticipation of Posh Spice’s runway display transpired. The Beckham family has continuously shown that they are willing to support one another in all of their endeavours and ambitions. They are currently in Paris for Victoria’s third Paris Fashion Week presentation.
In response to backlash from fans, David Beckham stood up for his affectionate actions towards his kids in 2017. He offered his viewpoint, saying, “We want to show our children that we care. I received backlash the other day for giving my daughter a kiss on the lips. I give my kids everyone pecks on the lips. Brooklyn perhaps not. Brooklyn, who is eighteen, could think that a little odd.”
Although it’s obvious that David Beckham intended for this gesture to be a loving fatherly gesture to his daughter, it’s important to remember that psychologists often advise against kissing children on the lips.
