Friends with Benefits (2011) opens with Mila Kunis (Jamie) and Justin Timberlake (Dylan) making it clear that their “situations” will have no conditions. But there’s always this (romantic) reckoning in movies. Ryan (George Clooney) is too busy to commit to a committed relationship. He is a human resources executive who spends half of his time travelling by plane. He meets Alex (Vera Farmiga), a fellow frequent traveller, during one of these several business travels, and the two begin a casual, “friends with benefits” fling. However, Natalie (Anna Kendrick) forces him to take a close look at his life and helps him realise that he is capable of feeling tremendous emotions, including having genuine affections for Alex. And at that point, things start to become challenging.

4. LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS (2010) — NETFLIX

Young and ambitious, Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is obsessed with both his career and women. He meets Maggie (Anne Hathaway), who has Parkinson’s disease, while he is waiting to make his pitch in the doctor’s office. The two start a casual hookup after an initial misunderstanding that goes smoothly for a while. before it doesn’t.

5. HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS (2003) — AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

You’re in for a treat if you’ve never watched this classic. Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan, and Carrie Fisher are the film’s stars. Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) share a journey to New York City at the beginning of When Harry Met Sally.

Following the story of their friendship after graduation, Dexter, a spoiled, philandering playboy, and Emma, a working-class idealist (played by Jim Sturgess), is shown on July 15 of each year and where they are in their lives.

The growth of their friendship is occasionally depicted by them alone, with their friends, or with one another. After a while, it becomes apparent that their bond is deeper than they are both willing to admit.
