11 Interesting Things About “Pathaan” You Probably Didn’t Know


The movie Pathaan, which debuted on January 25th, broke numerous box office records. It is the first Bollywood film to launch with 100 crores of rupees. After such a long hiatus, Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen, which only added gasoline to the flames and garnered an unprecedented response from eager fans and the media.

The spy-themed film, which is a part of YRF, features John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. It appears that the release has exceeded everyone’s expectations. Long before the movie’s premiere, SRK fans all over the nation were giddy with anticipation.

2. Pathaan was the first Indian movie to be filmed in Siberia’s Lake Baikal, and it was also filmed in a number of other countries, including Afghanistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Italy, and France.

3. Shah Rukh Khan, in a scene from the film Pathaan, refers to a character called Karen as “K…K…K…Karen” with his infamous stutter from Darr (1993)


4. Pathaan was the first Bollywood movie to use IMAX cameras, and it is also the first Dolby Cinema release from Yash Raj Films.


5. While John Abraham and Deepika Padukone had previously collaborated on two other movies, Desi Boyz (2011) and Race 2, Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham have never worked together in a film before with Pathaan being the exception (2013)

7.  Besharam Rang, a well-known song from the film, was sampled from the song Hamen To Loot Liya Mil Ke Husn Walo Ne from the movie Al Hilal (1958). The song’s melody is slightly reminiscent of Koi Fariyaad from Tum Bin (2001) and Makeba by Jain.
