The Kashmiri Files, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, has shattered multiple film office records. Everyone is admiring the picture for its outstanding performances and heartbreaking tale. While the filmmaker is now receiving widespread praise for his film about the departure of Kashmiri Pandits, his name has been linked to a number of disputes in the past.

Tanushree Dutta, the former Miss India Universe and actress, accused Vivek Agnihotri of harassment in 2018. She recounted an incident that occurred while she was filming Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets in 2005.

The actress from Aashiq Banaya Aapne recalled the incident, saying that her co-star, late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, was meant to give a face expression while the director took his close-up picture.

“I was wearing a towel on my outfit and standing behind the camera,” Tanushree said, according to an India Today storey. This guy (Vivek Agnihotri) requested that I direct an actor (Irrfan). It was a close-up shot of an actor. It wasn’t even my attempt. I wasn’t even supposed to be in the picture. It was the actor’s close-up, and all he had to do was gaze at anything and act. “He told me, ‘Jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho, usko cues do,'” she recounted.

Irrfan, on the other hand, raced to her aid and informed Vivek that he didn’t need such instructions. She explained, “‘I don’t need her to take off her coat and dance for me to give facial expressions,’ the male actor had to respond to the director. It was Irrfan Khan on the other end of the line. I thought it was great that he spoke up like that “..

The actress went on to say, “To further explain the scenario, “It was a close-up shot he took. I’m not in the picture at all. He had to look me in the eyes and make some facial gestures. Why must I dance in front of him in order for him to make facial expressions in his close-up shot? ‘Jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho,’ says this director. I was taken aback!”

Tanushree said he was “appalled” by Agnihotri’s words and thanked Irrfan for his answer. She went on to say, “‘What are you talking about?’ he asked the director. I’m ready for my close-up. ‘Mujhe acting aati hai’, says the character. Suneil Shetty chimed in as well. He was also present, had heard it, and was offended. ‘Main aaun kya wahaan cues dene ke liye?’ he asked.”

She ended by expressing that she hasn’t lost trust in Bollywood because of actors like Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan. Her acting career, however, came to a stop after the incident with Nana Patekar in 2008.

For the uninitiated, she had claimed the actor of se*ual impropriety while filming a song for Horn Ok Pleassss. The Me Too campaign in India was sparked by it.
