T20 World Cup winner Kuldeep Yadav discussed his personal life and future goals in an exclusive conversation with NDTV. The Indian spinner was welcomed by jubilant fans upon his return to his birthplace of Kanpur, after celebrating Team India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup in Mumbai. The BCCI arranged a felicitation event at the Wankhede Stadium and an open bus procession along Marine Drive as part of the festivities in Mumbai.
When Kuldeep arrived in Kanpur, hundreds of supporters welcomed him with fireworks, music, and traditional drums to celebrate his accomplishment of claiming ten wickets in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Kuldeep Yadav talked about his plans for marriage in an interview with NDTV. He hinted at good news on the horizon but made it clear that he would not be marrying a Bollywood actress.
“You’ll get the good news soon, but it won’t be an actress. It is important that she can take care of me and my family,”
Kuldeep disclosed. Kuldeep conveyed his happiness at the enthusiastic reception he received from Mumbai and Kanpur fans.
“We are very happy. We waited for this for a long time. It feels great to see our people here. It is a great pleasure to bring the World Cup. This is more for our India than for us… It was very nice to meet him (Prime Minister Narendra Modi),”
The team left for Delhi to visit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then proceeded to Mumbai for the victory parade. Thousands of spectators encircled the team’s bus and lined Marine Drive for the spectacle. The players received a reward of Rs 125 crore from the BCCI at the Wankhede Stadium, where the parade came to an end. In celebration, the squad performed dances, speeches, and a victory lap to the national anthem, “Vande Mataram.”
Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, arranged for the team’s return trip to India. The flight left hurricane-ravaged Barbados early on Thursday morning and arrived in Delhi. Board officials and tournament media staff were also on the aeroplane.
