Today, Bollywood is one of the world’s largest film industries, and you can’t deny the importance of music in making Bollywood this big. In the industry, there have been several legendary music composers and singers who played their part. The composers of music add soul to a song and then there are singers who, by incorporating feelings, give a song the final touch.

Bollywood has given us many great singers, and you can’t take the Nightingale of India, aka Lata Mangeshkar, off the list if you count the best. More than twenty-five thousand songs were sung in various languages by the ninety-one-year-old musician, and he had a career of about seven decades. The great singer, Bharat Ratna included, was honored with numerous awards and appreciation.

Singer Adnan Sami jumped to the defense of a legendary singer after being called her overrated by a Twitter user. Adnan advised the Twitter user to stay silent rather than letting the world know of their stupidity. Replying to it, Adnan wrote,

“Bandar Kya Jaane Adrak Ka Swaad (What does the monkey know of the good taste of ginger). …It’s better to stay silent and appear stupid than to open your mouth & remove all doubt!!”

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri not only defended Adnan Sami, but also the iconic singer. He was tweeting,

Adnan Sami had posted a throwback photo of the legendary trio of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, and Noor Jehan just before reacting to the troll. The photo shows young Lata Mangeshkar with Asha Bhosle and late Noor Jehan, one of Hindi cinema’s earliest and most celebrated stars. She later migrated after the partition to Pakistan, however.
