A Russian model named Ekaterina Lisina has been awarded the Guinness World Record for possessing the world’s longest leg. Her left leg is 132.8 cm (52.3 inches) long, whereas her right leg is 132.2 cm (52 inches).
Her entire height is 6’9,” and she has known since she was a child that she stood out from the crowd.
The 31-year-old took advantage of her height by joining a basketball team. She gained confidence after winning a bronze medal for her country in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
However, Ekaterina’s dream is to work in the modelling industry.
She eventually retired from sports and began a new career in the fashion sector. Lisina’s height offered her an advantage in both fields, and she was hired swiftly.
Her entire family has the same gene: her brother is 6’6,” her father is 6’5″, and her mother is 6’1.”
Her father claims that her lengthy legs have been apparent since she was a child. “When we picked Ekaterina up from the hospital, we saw right away that her legs were extremely long and that they made up the majority of her body.”
She began playing professional basketball at the age of 15, quickly learning that her height was a major asset on the court. She eventually changed her profession to modelling after winning medal after medal. While she had numerous self-doubts at first, her success proved her wrong. “I only knew I was gorgeous when I was about 24 years old,” she said.
“I’ve always had an athletic figure and was always considerably taller than everyone else my age, but then I understood how nice it is to be tall.”
“I wanted to take a break when I retired from basketball; I needed to rehabilitate.” After then, I returned to my dream.”
Because she was tall as a teenager, she was subjected to a barrage of insults and abuse.
“To speak with the boys, I’d have to phone my older brother,” she explained. While she’s learned to identify individuals who embrace her and not be concerned by their comments, she still has obstacles, such as obtaining a suitable pair of leggings and shoes.
Her long legs, on the other hand, have their advantages: “I can walk considerably faster than other individuals.”
