He was a mathematical scholar. About the story, it came into the air from Switzerland where one of the tests that he got 1 on a scale of 1 to 6 was supposed to be the good grade, but soon after that 6 began to be considered the good grades. That’s why it started this rumour.
Pocahontas and John Smith Didn’t Have a Love Story:
You must have heard this about John Smith and Pocahontas have a beautiful love story. Quite the reverse, it’s all just a theory. They met when he was captured, and shared the native language of each other. John Smith is 27 while Pocahontas is 11 years old. There had been no tale of love between them.
There was no War of the World’s Hysteria
There was that myth about an alien invasion that was shown on one of the famous TV show just to catch attention. But people started believing the show so real. But the reverse wasn’t true. Involving listeners was just a showcase.

The rumour was that for 3 days, 300 Spartans defended Thermopylae from a vast Persian army. It was true that there were 300 Spartans there to defend the city but they were not alone helped by various allies.
A cow didn’t start the Great Chicago Fire of 1871
One of the famous myths on our list is that a cow had caused the great Chicago fire. When the woman was milking her the cow hit the lantern. But it wasn’t at all true that the woman who was allegedly blamed for milking cow confirmed she never milked the cow at night and she was sleeping at the time.
The Trojan Horse Never Existed
The myth was that Greeks were constructing this wooden horse as a prize for Trojans to win. In their town, the Trojans pulled the horse as the gate opened greeks crept out and destroyed all. But the truth is just a fable, is a wooden horse. There was no proof of that.
The Vikings didn’t switch the names of Greenland and Iceland on purpose
The myth was Viking intentionally changed the name of Iceland and Greenland just to keep people away from good things but there is no such thing in reality. His name came from Viking, whose daughter drowned there. Greenland got its name from the banished Erik the Red.
