A social media user who inserted her into an actor Mrunal Thakur’s Diwali message has received a response. The altered photo shows the man lighting a firecracker while Mrunal stands next to him, his arm encircling the Hi Nanna star.
The image was posted on Instagram with the remark, “Diwali Photo Editing. Bollywood Actress Photoshoot… (sic).”
In the comments, Mrunal voiced her disgust, writing,
“Bhai kyu jhooti tassali de rahe hain aap apne aap ko? Jo kar rahe hain yeh cool hain aapko lagta hain ki aap yeh? “Ji nahi!” (What is the reason behind your deceptive self-assurance? Is what you’re doing truly cool in your opinion? No, it isn’t!
“Shame on people who resort to such things; it shows that there is no conscience left in such people,” she remarked on Instagram in reaction to Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video. We appreciate you standing up and tackling this issue, @rashmika_mandanna, since many of us have chosen to keep quiet about it.

Despite our status as “limelight” actresses, we are all ultimately just people. Why do we not discuss it? Now is not the time (sic) to be silent.
