One of the most fun shows on Indian television is Bhabijji Ghar Par Hain. The show’s characters have become household names. Nehha Pendse took over for Saumya Tandon in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! last year. Saumya Tandon, who played Anita Bhabi in the sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, announced her departure in August 2020. She had been playing Anita Bhabi for almost five years. Nehha Pendse, who has been on the show for almost a year, is also expected to leave in a few months. The show’s producers are currently on the lookout for a new actress to fill Nehha’s role as Anita Bhabi.
Nehha Pendse’s one-year contract will expire in April, according to Bollywood Hungama, and she isn’t interested in renewing it. The rigorous travelling was a big role in her leaving the show. It takes her lengthy hours to go to and from the sets, which has taken a toll on her health. The actress, as well as the producers, believed they would be able to pull it off, but things aren’t going so well.
A unit hand told TOI,
“Yes, we are in the process of bringing a new actress on board for the character of Anita Bhabhi and are auditioning actresses. We should be able to lock someone in a few weeks. Nehha’s one-year contract will end in April and she isn’t too keen on renewing it. One of the major factors of her exiting the show is the long commute. She spends hours traveling to the set and back home. It has taken a toll on her health. The makers and the actress thought that they would be able to manage it but it is now seeming difficult.”
For the new Anita Bhabi, several actresses have auditioned and the process is still going on. However, Nehha Pendse and producer Binaiferr Kohli have not confirmed the same so far.
