A Calicut-based daily wage labourer has discovered a new and pretty exciting new career as a model, thanks to a photographer named Shareek Vayalil.
What makes this scenario even more intriguing is that the model in question is in his mid-sixties.
Persons assume that people from specific social groups aren’t particularly attractive and don’t deserve to be looked at again. The model in question, Parakadavil Mammika or Mammi, certainly disproves them.
Shareek has worked with Parakadavil on several initiatives and has helped him reclaim his life. Mammi was not only the face of a tiny but well distributed marketing campaign for a local apparel brand, but he has also established himself as a legitimate model.
Some of Mammi’s traits are qualities that top designers search for in their models, and they come easily to him. That huge beard, as well as his slender but fit physique.
Shareek had previously taken a picture of Mammi and posted it to his Facebook page. Because of the laborer’s likeness to actor Vinayakan, the photo went viral. This sparked an idea in Shareek, who put Mammi in an ad he was filming after giving her a fantastic makeover.
The best part about the transformation was that it was completed on a cheap budget. Despite this, the 60-year-old daily wager appears to be worth a million dollars.
Mammi was dressed up in a pretty well-tailored suit, a very neat and suave appearing beard and haircut in one set of images, whilst he was dressed up in a rather basic and dark grey coloured Bandhgala in the other set.
The films and images that Shareek recorded of Mammi have gone viral, and people have expressed their gratitude for them.
What’s the best part of it all? It has to be the fact that Shareek assisted the 60-year-old in creating an Instagram profile in order for him to gain additional modelling work.
