Excitement is at an all-time high as the IPL season gets underway. Punjab Kings (PBKS) owner Preity Zinta recently held a #PZChat session on Twitter to engage with supporters amid all the excitement. But some trolls also joined in, one of whom made fun of her team’s chances of winning. Preity refused to overlook it and responded with a scathing, appropriate response that is currently trending on the internet.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is well-known for her parts in films like Koi and Dil Chahta Hai. In addition to being big-screen celebrities, Mil Gaya, Lakshya, and Veer-Zaara are ardent IPL team owners. She is frequently spotted in stadiums, loudly supporting her side whether they win or lose, as the proud owner of Punjab Kings (PBKS). She has always been unwavering in her support and enthusiasm for the boys. PBKS has performed admirably this season as well, placing in the top 5 thus far.
On April 28, Preity held a special #PZChat session on social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) amid the continuous excitement of IPL 2025.
She engaged with many fans, responding to them with her usual humour and friendliness. There were many enjoyable moments, thought-provoking discussions, and positive vibes throughout the chat. But not everyone arrived with the best of intentions. In an attempt to sow negativity through their pointless remarks, a few trolls also infiltrated the conversation.
In an attempt to disparage Preity and her group, one such internet user stated,
“ur team will not win for sure”.
However, Preity, who is renowned for her bold demeanour, did not chose to disregard the remark. Rather, she chose to respond in a forceful and straightforward manner. In response, she said,
“Spoken like someone who has never achieved anything in life. Since you have bravely attempted to participate in our chat here is a valuable lesson. Either have something constructive to say or keep quiet. I sincerely hope for your sake that you have a rich daddy to drag you along life, cuz this attitude can only fit in those circles not in front of self made high achievers.”
The majority of fans and internet users praised her for defending herself and her squad when her response swiftly went viral. Preity Zinta made it clear that even while she enjoys engaging with her fans, she will not put up with criticism of her favourite PBKS.
