One of the wealthiest families in the world, the Ambanis lead an unparalleled lifestyle of luxury and creativity. Of course, their house, Antilia, is equally famous and legendary. Unexpectedly, though, this 27-story wonder doesn’t employ a conventional air conditioning system. Rather, it has a special air cooling system that maintains a comfortable temperature all the time.

Antilia, Ambani’s residence, lacks air conditioning.

In a world where central air conditioning is seen as a basic luxury, Antilia, designed by Mukesh Ambani, goes above and beyond in terms of creativity. It’s remarkable that Antilia, one of the priciest residences ever constructed, lacks a conventional air conditioning system. Although this would seem odd for a 27-story property in the humid heat of Mumbai, the Ambani home’s equipment is far more sophisticated and understated than the typical cooling units found in other structures.

The exclusive air cooling technology of Antilia:

The home’s unique central air-cooling system is concealed from public view. This method incorporates climate control without detracting from the mansion’s architectural grandeur, in contrast to conventional air conditioners that need large exterior compressor units. It is intended to keep every story of the skyscraper at the ideal temperature without any obvious air conditioning grills or units.

Antilia’s climate control system adjusts to the preferences of the surroundings, guaranteeing a steady and cosy ambiance all day long.

An autonomous cooling system that doesn’t require human intervention:

In addition to lacking conventional air conditioners, Antilia’s cooling system is unique in that its temperature cannot be manually adjusted. A thermostat can be easily adjusted to one’s preference in most homes, but not at the Ambani residence. Rather, Antilia’s temperature is automatically controlled by a clever technology that takes into account the house’s many natural features.

Everything at Antilia contributes to the internal climate, from the beautiful marble interiors to the vibrant flowers and plants that adorn the room. In order to maintain the quality and beauty of these materials and biological components, the system recognises their demands and modifies the temperature appropriately.

The model and family man actress once talked about her icy Antilia experience:

Best known for her part in The Family Man, actress and model Shreya Dhanwanthary earlier talked about her personal experience with the unusual cooling system of Mukesh Ambani’s famous home, Antilia.

When she visited the Ambani home for a fashion show organised by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, she noticed how consistently cool the estate was.

A floor manager responded to her request for a temperature rise by explaining that the environment cannot be manually changed because it is controlled to maintain the freshness of the flowers and the integrity of the marble.

In her words,

Built by international companies Perkins & Will and Leighton Asia, Antilia is well-known for a number of features, including its multi-level garage, three helipads, and 600 employees.

Its invisible cooling technology, which does away with the need for conventional air conditioning, is undoubtedly one of its most intriguing aspects.
