Although this would seem odd for a 27-story property in the humid heat of Mumbai, the Ambani home’s equipment is far more sophisticated and understated than the typical cooling units found in other structures.

The home’s unique central air-cooling system is concealed from public view. This method incorporates climate control without detracting from the mansion’s architectural grandeur, in contrast to conventional air conditioners that need large exterior compressor units. Best known for her part in The Family Man, actress and model Shreya Dhanwanthary earlier talked about her personal experience with the unusual cooling system of Mukesh Ambani’s famous home, Antilia.
When she visited the Ambani home for a fashion show organised by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, she noticed how consistently cool the estate was.
A floor manager responded to her request for a temperature rise by explaining that the environment cannot be manually changed because it is controlled to maintain the freshness of the flowers and the integrity of the marble.
In her words,
“To put it gently, I wasn’t dressed very well. They have floor managers, so we went up to the floor manager and asked, ‘Can we please raise the temperature a little?’ This is what she says: ‘Ma’am, we are very sorry, but the flowers and the marble need the temperature to be a certain number.’ And I am like, ‘Oh, okay then,’ and I walk back. This doesn’t bother me in the sense that I find it fascinating when I meet people who say and do things and live a certain way that I can’t imagine.”
Built by international companies Perkins & Will and Leighton Asia, Antilia is well-known for a number of features, including its multi-level garage, three helipads, and 600 employees.
Its invisible cooling technology, which does away with the need for conventional air conditioning, is undoubtedly one of its most intriguing aspects.
