Raju Srivastav, one of India’s most well-known comedy actors, went suddenly on September 21 at the age of 58. One of the most adored comedians was him. At the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, Raju Srivastav breathed his last. He was admitted to AIIMS on August 10 after having a heart attack while exercising at a Delhi gym. While Raju was hospitalised, Amitabh Bachchan left a voicemail for him.
Raju Srivastav, a well-known comedian, considered Amitabh Bachchan to be his idol. Raju actually gained attention and attention because of his likeness to Mr Bachchan.
In numerous Hindi films, like Baazigar, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Bombay to Goa, and others, Raju Srivastav played the lead role. He received the honorary title of “The King of Comedy” at The Great Indian Laughter Challenge – Champions. He later rose to fame as a standup comic who used to appear on live shows. He also participated in Season 3 of Bigg Boss.
Raju Srivastav‘s daughter Anatara Srivastava, recently wrote a thank-you card to renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan.
She claimed that Mr Bachchan played a significant part in the achievement of her late father Raju Srivastava. She talked about how Big B has supported her family through difficult times and has always been there for them.
Antara Srivastava expressed her gratitude for the legendary actor’s support in an Instagram post, writing,
“Extremely grateful to Shri @amitabh bachchan uncle for being there for us every single day during this tough time. Your prayers gave us an abundance of strength and support, which we will remember forever. My mother Shikha, brother @aayushmaan.srivastava, my entire family and I, @antarasrivastava, are eternally thankful to you. The love and admiration he receives globally is all because of you,”
She included images of her father with the mythology and in her writing.
She continued by saying that her father had saved Mr Bachchan’s phone number in his contacts under the name “Guru Ji.” She wrote,
“You are my father’s idol, inspiration, love and Guru. Since the first time dad saw you on the big screen, you have stayed within him forever. He not just followed you on-screen but off it also,”
The late stand-up comic overheard the voice message given to Srivastava’s family during his hospitalisation to assist them to deal with the therapy. Antara continued,
“Him reacting on listening to your audio clip clearly shows what you meant to him”
A day after the comic actor’s passing, Bachchan Ji paid tribute to him on his personal blog, recalling the man for his “sense of timing and the vernacular humour.”
Raju Srivastav experienced a cardiac arrest on the gym treadmill on August 10, 2022, while complaining of chest pain. After having an angioplasty, he was put on a ventilator. Neurologists also treated him since they noticed swelling in his brain while he was being treated. He had a heart attack, and his condition was described as critical. On September 21st morning in Delhi, he passed away while receiving treatment. A virtual autopsy was performed as part of the post-mortem.
Raju was cremated in Delhi after passing away, in the presence of his loved ones.
Raju Srivastav was not only a comedian but also the head of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council. Shikha, Antara, and Aayushmaan, the wife, daughter, and son of Srivastava, survive him.
