Fans admire the chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, not only relishing their on-screen pairing but also enjoying their playful exchanges off-screen. An old video of the duo has resurfaced on Reddit, where Ranbir affectionately refers to Deepika as a “cheap girl,” sparking a viral sensation.
In a conversation with Zoom TV, Ranbir remarked, “Deepika has a mischievous streak within her. You know, you can indulge in naughty banter with her. She responds playfully and cheekily. If you tease her, she won’t back down; instead, she’ll give it back even cheekier. She’s not the kind of girl who will sulk if you tease her. She’ll play along.”
Reflecting on their interactions during Love Aaj Kal, Ranbir Kapoor mentioned, “Imtiaz also realized this about her. Initially, she used to be very shy… quite reserved. Then he got the idea to say something cheeky to her. At that moment, her eyes lit up. She responds positively to a bit of cheekiness.”
In response, Deepika asked, “How would you be cheeky with me?” To which Ranbir replied, “I can’t do that in front of the camera. But believe me, there’s a lot of cheekiness involved in this. This is a storehouse of cheekiness.”
