Cancer (Malignant tumor) is a group of diseases when cells start to grow uncontrollably with the potential to enter or spread to other parts of the human body.

Cancer is a combination of more than 100 different conditions. It can expand almost everywhere in the body.

There are a wide variety of cancers to watch out for, but we want to discuss – throat cancer.

Throat cancer is a generic term that means several different types of cancer in different parts of the throat and mouth. It develops when abnormal cells grow out of control in the throat, larynx (voice box) or tonsils and form tumors.

You can be at risk for developing throat cancer if you

1. Changes in your voice

If you mark changes in your voice, such as hoarseness or not speaking clearly for more than one month, this could be an early sign of a throat cancer development.

Mostly people not paying attention to hoarseness, thinking is a cold drink cause it. But if it continues for a month or more, please visit your family doctor.

2. Difficulty swallowing

Difficulty swallowing – dysphagia is another medical name for this condition.

People who have a troublesome time swallowing may choke on their food or liquid when trying to eat. This condition may be temporary and go, but if it’s disturbing you often, please meet your doctor.

3. Sore throat, persistent cough, bleeding in mouth and throat

If you are a smoker and your gender male and you notice, you feel the need to clear your throat persistently. It can be an early sign of developing throat cancer.

4. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck

Lymph nodes become swollen in answer to illness, infection, or stress.

Consult your doctor if you’re concerned or if your swollen lymph nodes have arisen for no apparent reason. Proceed to arise or have been existing for four to six weeks. Feel hard, reddish, skin changes, or don’t move when you push on them.

5. Unexplained weight loss

Everyone knows that obesity or excess fat is not good. But if you are not performing anything to reduce your weight (dieting, exercises), and notice you are losing your weight. There is nothing to be happy about.

6. Neck lump

Bacterial or viral infections can cause the most typical lumps.
Neck lump doesn’t mean person get cancer. But for smokers and adult men, the chance that a neck lump is malignant increases after the age of 65.
