Everyone is remarkable and distinct in their own way. Some people, in fact, have powers that will astound you. These could include ideas you’ve never considered or imagined were even feasible. Some folks are unable to accomplish simple things like twitch their ears or lift one eyebrow. But, believe it or not, only a few people are capable of doing so.

1. Isolating your ring finger

When moving their middle or pinky finger, most people flex their ring finger slightly (also known as the baby finger). However, some people have the ability to isolate their ring finger, which is thought to be inherited.

2. Using your tongue to stroke your chin or nose

Most people’s tongues don’t extend that far out, but in the Gorlin sign, some people can actually touch their nose or chin with the tip of their tongue. Only about 10% of the world’s population is capable of doing this action.

3. Changing the orientation of your limbs

Here’s a thought experiment. Remove your right foot from the ground and rotate it clockwise. Try writing the number “6” with your big toe now. You don’t need any paper or pencils; simply write the number with your toe in the air.

Because the number has a counter-clockwise circle, most people will find that they’ve started moving their foot in the opposite direction without even realising it. Because of the way their brains are wired or because of training, certain people are exceptions to this norm.

4. Twitching your nose

If you’ve ever tried to wriggle your nose like Samantha Stephens, you’ve probably failed miserably. Even Elizabeth Montgomery from the iconic programme Bewitched merely twitched her lip to create the illusion of a twitching nose. There are, however, persons who can twitch their nose without being witches. You can even begin by twitching your nostrils to train yourself to twitch your nose.

5. Gleeking

Some people unintentionally spit out their mouth when their tongue goes forward. This is referred to as “gleeking,” which is a more advanced type of spitting. Strong salivary ducts or even certain foods, such as lemons, might induce this. Gleeking has been around for a long time, and it even appears in several Shakespeare plays.

6. Sneezing with your eyes open

The nose and eyes are connected via cranial nerves. As a result, when you sneeze, you close your eyes automatically – at least, most people do. However, contrary to popular belief, sneezing with your eyes open will not cause your eyeballs to jump out.

7. Folding your tongue in half

Although it is quite normal to fold your tongue in half, not everyone on the planet can do so. Some folks are capable of performing even more bizarre feats. Folding your tongue in thirds is one example.

8. Tickling yourself

It’s practically impossible for most individuals to tickle themselves. This is because tickling is all about the element of surprise; your brain detects the sensations that produce tickling and controls them before they have an impact on you. It’s not impossible, though; persons with schizophrenia tendencies can tickle themselves since their brains don’t realise the feelings are deliberate.

9. Bending your thumb backward

Some people have a “Hitchhiker’s Thumb,” a double-jointed thumb that permits them to bend it backward. The movement of their thumb back is not uncomfortable for these persons, and there is no risk of harming the thumb’s functions. The disease is caused by the thumb’s distal joints. Both of a person’s thumbs can be double-jointed in some circumstances, whereas just one thumb can be pushed backward in others.
