Whether their acting career stopped before it could begin or was never an option in the first place, the money isn’t in front of the camera for these star kids.

Here’s a look at some of Bollywood’s star offspring who make money from enterprises other than acting:

1. Ekta Kapoor

Ekta Kapoor, the daughter of legendary actor Jeetendra Kapoor, is no stranger to the entertainment industry. With her production business Balaji Motion Pictures and Video-on-Demand platform ALT Balaji, the TV and film producer has built a name for herself. Ekta Kapoor, a Padma Shri laureate, is a successful businesswoman with a net worth of $13 million.

2. Tusshar Kapoor

Tusshar Kapoor’s acting skills, with the exception of the Golmaal franchise, have failed to make an impression. While he continues to perform in tiny roles in films, he has also founded Tusshar Entertainment House, a production company. Kapoor’s net worth is currently rated at $11 million, and the first film under the banner, Laxmii, was released on Disney+Hotstar.

3. Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, had the most “successful” acting career of all the famous kids on the list – albeit, as she admits, it was luckily short-lived.

Krishna Shroff, Jackie Shroff’s daughter, is a rule-follower in the same vein as her father. As of 2020, she is estimated to have a net worth of around $3 million.

5. Uday Chopra

Uday Chopra, the son of Bollywood director Yash Chopra, dabbled with acting before settling on a career in filmmaking, which he’d been doing since 1991, when he first worked as an assistant director on his father’s film Lamhe. 7. Ridhhima Kapoor Sahni

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, the eldest daughter of actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, is a yoga devotee and jewellery designer. Riddhima has stayed out of the spotlight as her brother, Ranbir, pursued a career in acting. Instead, she has focused on growing her jewellery company, ‘R’ Jewelry. Her current net worth is estimated to be at $3 million.

Like the rest of her family, Shweta Bachchan, the eldest daughter of stars Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, opted to express herself through writing rather than acting. 10. Saba Ali Khan

Both of her siblings, Saif and Soha, pursued acting in the same way that their mother, Sharmila Tagore, did. Saba, on the other hand, chose to go in a different route. Saba, a jewellery designer and tarot reading, was just named the Chief Trustee (mutawalli) of Bhopal’s Royal Trust (Auqaf-e-Shahi). While her net worth is unknown, it has been alleged that she is in charge of overseeing the Pataudi clan’s business and properties, which are valued at about Rs. 2,700 crores.

11. Sakshi Khanna

Sakshi Khanna, late actor Vinod Khanna’s youngest son (from his second marriage), had been rumoured to be making his Bollywood debut for years, but it appears that Sakshi is satisfied behind the camera. He worked as a model and assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali before launching his own production company, Jugaad Motion Pictures, with two partners a few years ago.

The news that he was following in his father’s “spiritual” footsteps and joined the OSHO group was also widely circulated on social media. Sakshi is currently living a tranquil life away from the spotlight. His estimated net worth is unknown, however Jugaad Motion has worked on films and music videos for musicians such as Prateek Kuhad, Ritviz, and others.

12. Jackky Bhagnani

Jackky Bhagnani, the son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, made his acting debut in 2009. Despite several releases throughout the years, though, his acting career has been nothing to write home about. On the other side, his career as a producer has been more fruitful. He has made music videos and delivered successes such as Sarbjit, Coolie No. 1, and others as a producer. His net worth is estimated to be between $3 and $5 million.
