Rumor mills can sometimes operate overtime, putting a celebrity’s societal standing in jeopardy. When actor Hrithik Roshan and ex-wife Sussanne Khan announced their breakup in 2014, they broke the hearts of a million fans who had been rooting for them. While they stated that their split was amicable and that they remain friends to this day, there were some unfounded claims that Arjun Rampal, the actor who was a close friend of the pair, was one of the causes.
When Arjun and his wife Mehr Jessia announced their divorce, there were some shocking stories speculating that Sussanne’s proximity was one of the causes for the couple’s breakup.
Sussanne had made a statement at the time, addressing the rumours and correctly debunking them. “Arjun and Mehr have been friends for a long time. Poisoning a relationship in this way is nefarious behaviour. Sussanne told Firstpost, “I have previously declared in the same paper, with Mehr, that there is no truth to the notion that Arjun and I are anything more than friends.”
“I was never and will never be an idle Bollywood wife with all the time in the world to spew lies and canards that destroy families and lives,” she continued. Clearly, these were speculations, as Arjun Rampal has a beautiful son with his partner Gabriella Demetriades, who he met after their divorce.
