During a recent film event advertising her new film Odeyla 2, actress Tamannaah Bhatia encountered offensive remarks, a problem that many women encounter. She did not like being referred to as “Milky Beauty” by a reporter. She refused to ignore it and answered with a scathing and self-assured rebuttal that has since gone viral, demonstrating her capacity to defend herself.
When a reporter remarks, “Excuse me, mam!” about Tamannaah Bhatia’s beauty, she defends herself.
Regardless of their height, skin tone, or body shape, women frequently encounter offensive and critical remarks regarding their appearance. Whether a lady is tall, skinny, healthy, fair, dusky, or little, it is nearly never enough to fulfil the idealised standard; society seems to constantly find something to criticise.
These unrelenting criticisms can be upsetting and harmful because they give women unreasonable expectations to maintain a specific image, which leaves little opportunity for uniqueness or self-expression.
At a recent press event for her upcoming film Odeyla 2, actress Tamannaah Bhatia encountered a similar circumstance when a reporter questioned director Ashok Teja about why he chose a “milky beauty” like her to play Shiva Shakti.
Instead of passively taking the remark, Tamannaah stepped in and asked the reporter to clarify her meaning.
“Excuse me ma’am! I’m actually curious to know what do you mean?”
She further added by saying,
“You are saying milky beauty, but why did you look at a milky beauty and think she can’t be a Shiva Shakti? Your question has the answer in it.”
She highlighted that Teja did not view the term “milky beauty” negatively.
“He [Ashok Teja] does not look at milky beauty as something to be ashamed of or feel bad about. Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Then we can expect other people to celebrate us. But if we look at ourselves in a certain way, then nobody can respect us.”
She concluded by saying,
“He looks at women as divine. Divine can be glamorous, lethal, powerful. A woman can be many, many things.”
Tamannaah made clear in her assured response that a woman’s physical attributes should not be used to define or evaluate her.
Regarding Tamannaah Bhatia’s next film, Odela 2:
Fans are getting very excited about Tamannaah Bhatia’s next film Odeyla 2, and for good reason! Ashok Teja will serve as the director of this project. It is a follow-up to the well-liked thriller Odeyla and is expected to have a gripping plot full of drama and tension.
With a prominent role in the film, Tamannaah displays her range as an actress. In addition to her, the film will include Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamsi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy in key parts, along with Hebah Patel and Vasishta N. Simha. As the character of Tamannaah makes her way through difficult situations, the movie is expected to explore strong emotions and captivating moments.
Although Odeyla 2’s story details are currently unknown, the teaser and early promotional materials suggest that the film will carry on the tension and thriller themes of the previous film.
With the chemistry between the main characters and the captivating plot, Odeyla 2, which is scheduled for release on April 17, 2025, is predicted to be a huge smash.
