Addison Rae, a popular TikTok user, has generated controversy online for donning a bikini that some have dubbed “blasphemous.”

The 21-year-old celebrity uploaded a photograph from a photoshoot touting a fresh partnership between Adidas and Praying in a since-deleted Instagram post.

She is wearing the $100 “Holy Trinity Bikini” from the line, which says “Father” and “Son” on top and “Holy Spirit” on the bottoms.

The image received a lot of positive comments, but it also seems to have offended quite a few individuals.

One person on Twitter remarked, “This is terrible on so many levels…,” while another just added, “So rude.”

The She’s All That singer was targeted by a third person, who said: “You have done a really foolish deed young girl. You insulted the Holy Trinity by blaspheming them. You are the one who deserves to be condemned.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit cannot be pardoned, while other types of blasphemy can.

Several unfavourable remarks from the first Instagram post, which has since been taken down, were also posted by Page Six.

It’s disrespectful to Jesus, therefore no. One person wrote, “Sad what y’all do for money. This is not right. BLASPHEMY!”

Is anyone going to bring up how this disrespects religions, another person questioned.

Despite the outrage expressed online, Rae also received a lot of support. One supporter stated: “If women’s bodies weren’t se*ualized, the Addison Rae bikini wouldn’t be a scandal.”

Don’t listen to the church, one person advised, while another added, “It’s a fantastic satire on religious myths. Only uptight se*ually repressed puritans, predators, devout priests, preachers, etc. would be offended.”

While we’re talking about contentious collaborations, Addison claimed in June that none other than Drake had photo-shopped her hands onto some of his images.

Yes, the 35-year-old rapper posted a sort of selfie on Instagram, but it seemed to show a woman’s hand on his head.

Others who saw the picture thought it would be a sign of a forthcoming music collaboration between Drake and vocalist Addison.

One person commented, “I speak for everyone when I say we need an Addison Rae and Drake song. I need an Addison Rae and Drake song so badly.”

Since then, we haven’t heard of any musical collaborations between the two, so for the time being, it seems to be just another odd moment in Drake’s history of meme-making.
