The second day of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) Gala was a lavish event, just like the inauguration ceremony. Several well-known local, national, and worldwide celebrities attended the event and walked the pink carpet for the India In Fashion display.
More than 140 magnificent garments with Indian influences were on display in this one-of-a-kind exhibition, demonstrating the country’s influence on fashion throughout history from the 18th to the 21st century.
The guest list was star-studded, featuring luminaries such as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora, Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Ranveer Singh, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Law Roach, Gigi Hadid, Penelope Cruz, Sara Ali Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad, Karisma Kapoor, Sharvari Wagh, Rekha, Kajol, Arjun Kapoor, and many other renowned personalities.
Varun Dhawan, however, lifting the supermodel Gigi Hadid in his arms, dancing with her, and then kissing her, generated more excitement on social media.
The incident’s footage went viral on social media for for the wrong reasons. As soon as it occurred, Varun Dhawan was met with scathing criticism for what he done.

One of the twitter user @Aditi__U critised Varun for for lifting and kissing Gigi Hadid. In her tweet she wrote,
“If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an “elite” crowd, guys like Varun Dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fun. Disgusting. (sic)”
Varun Dhawan strongly reacts to one of the trolls and presents his side of the story
Quoting one of his troll’s tweets, Varun Dhawan wrote,
I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things . Good morning
Varun responded strongly, thus the troll changed her Twitter account’s status to private, limiting who could see her tweet.
Varun’s tweet quickly becomes the topic of conversation as people continue to respond to it.
While many agreed with him that the act had to be produced given the magnitude and gravity of the performance, another group is still outraged about it and believes that the kiss might not have been manufactured.
