Amitabh Bachchan portrays Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. Ashwatthama is an ally of the Kauravas and the son of the sage and warrior Dronacharya. When Ashwatthama attempted to kill an unborn Parikshit, he was cursed with immortality. He has been travelling the world for about 6,000 years since then.

The second half of Kalki 2898 AD has been finished to around 60%. The team has wrapped up filming many key scenes, according to the production firm. The head of Vyjayanti Films, C Ashwini Dutt, tweeted, “Almost 60% of #Kalki2898AD part 2 has been completed. The majority of the scene remains unshot. The date of release has not yet been determined.
