When a woman sought her salary back after “accidentally” giving it to a stranger, she was met with contempt.
Woman accidentally transfers the first salary to a stranger
Fahada Bistari intended to surprise her mother by transferring her paycheck to her, but she accidentally sent it to an unidentified bank account.
Malaysian-born Bistari used TikTok to describe the situation in a heartbreaking video that quickly went viral.
“Today I received my first salary,” Bistari proclaimed to her fans.
“Since I’ve only worked a few days, it’s not much. Long story short, I unintentionally banked the money for someone else when I intended to bank it for my mum.
It’s thought that Bistari wasn’t aware of her error until her perplexed mother informed her that she hadn’t received the money.
When Bistari discovered to who she had given her salary, she contacted them and gave them the details. They apparently didn’t have much sympathy for her and allegedly told her the error might be excused as “charity.”
Bistari said, visibly upset: “My mother gave me the person’s phone number, and I called, texted, and WhatsApp them. They then urged me to consider it a donation to them.
It’s not that I don’t want to donate; it’s just that I wanted to give my mother my meagre pay instead of donating it.
Bistari was fortunate in that the person seemed to change their mind, and after some “additional drama,” she eventually received her salary back.
The TikToker’s tweet has received a whopping 3.9 million views since it was published, and viewers have been incredibly sympathetic to her.
“I got tears in my eyes watching this,” one person wrote. She will be in tears if this chapter is about her mother. This video has a lot to teach us. I sincerely hope you have a thoughtful response.
Don’t be depressed. You’ll have more food, God willing,” a second remarked. Believing it
“Hopefully that individual will be receptive to giving back, be patient sister,” wrote a third.
