Following in the footsteps of your celebrity parents is nothing new in Hollywood; after all, we’ve seen generations of celebrities descend from the same families. However, some offspring of famous parents select a different career path for themselves and find success in a field unrelated to their parents.
We were startled to learn about the variety of occupations available to children of actors. We’ve compiled a list of ten people with celebrity parents who have achieved success in other fields.
1. Tom Selleck’s daughter is a horseback rider.

Even as a novice horseback rider, Hannah Selleck won multiple medals. She recently turned professional and placed in the top five in a handful of her tournaments.
Tom Selleck, a well-known Hollywood actor best known for his performances in the TV shows “Magnum P.I.” and “Blue Bloods,” as well as in movies like “Three Men and a Baby,” is the father of Hannah Margaret Selleck. Hannah Selleck is Tom Selleck’s only biological child and was born to him and his second wife, Jillie Mack.
2. Dwayne Johnson’s daughter is a wrestler.

Simone Johnson signed to a professional wrestling company WWE in 2020 and became the youngest wrestler in all of the company.
The WWE is about to launch Simone Alexandra Johnson’s career. She is the daughter of actor and professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock. Ava Raine, Simone’s ring moniker, has generated a lot of buzzes online even before her debut.
Social media users said that the name does not imply that she is Dwayne Johnson’s daughter and a descendant of the fabled Anoa’i line.
3. Jamie Lee Curtis’ daughter is a dance instructor.

On red carpets, Annie Guest is frequently her mother’s plus-one, but she is not an actress. She works as a dance instructor in Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old video game editor admitted that it was nerve-wracking to tell her parents about her gender identification in an interview with PEOPLE alongside her mother.
They had, however, always accepted me, according to Ruby, “all my life.” Ruby said she was pleased to share her journey with the world for the first time after her family’s approval.

4. Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates’ daughter is a singer-songwriter.

Greta Kline was born into an acting family, but she chose to pursue a career in music instead. She is the lead singer of Frankie Cosmos, an indie rock band.
The couple, which includes actress Phoebe Cates and actor Kevin Kline, has appeared in a wide range of films, including Gremlins and Sophie’s Choice as well as cult favourites like “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “The Big Chill.” Thus, it may not come as a surprise that the gifted couple would produce a daughter who likewise decided to pursue the performing arts (via Country Living).
Greta Cates, the daughter of Cates and Kline, has become well-known as a musician rather than choosing to pursue a career as an actor. Kline is a member of the New York-based group Frankie Cosmos, who in 2019 released its fourth album on the SubPop Records imprint. Kline partially got the name from her love of the poet Frank O’Hara (via New York Times).
5. Luke Perry’s son is a pro-wrestler.

American professional wrestler Jack Perry competes in the sport. He is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion and is presently signed to All Elite Wrestling, where he wrestles under the ring name Jungle Boy.
6. Bill Murray’s son is a basketball coach and recruiter.

With nearly 15 years of experience as a college basketball coach, Luke Murray has an amazing resume. On ESPN’s list of men’s college basketball coaches in 2020, he was listed among the top ten.
7. Harrison Ford’s son is a chef.
Ben Ford is a professional chef and the proprietor of a number of restaurants, including the well-known Ford’s Filling Station.
8. Michael Keaton’s son is a songwriter.

Raphael De Niro, an American real estate broker and former actor, was born on November 9, 1976. He frequently works with famous people, such as Kelly Ripa, Renée Zellweger, Travis Kalanick, and Jon Bon Jovi. De Niro is the son of Diahnne Abbott and actor Robert De Niro.
