Alexandra Grant, who is well-known for dating John Wick 4 actor Keanu Reeves, previously provided an amazing description of her approach to beauty through natural means.

The world’s attention was drawn to the 49-year-old artist’s hair as well as her relationship with an A-lister, 58, who she said started going grey in her “early 20s.”

An examination investigating the relationship between breast cancer, hair dye, and hair straighteners was covered by Newsweek in December 2019. The startling results, which were reported in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Cancer, revealed that there might be a link between specific carcinogens and endocrine-disrupting substances, which are present in a variety of hair colour products.

According to the study, Black women are more likely to experience the association. It does not, however, demonstrate a direct connection between hair colouring and breast cancer, which is known to have a number of risk factors, including age, weight, and hereditary genes.

Grant posted the item to her Instagram account and described the statistics as “staggering.” She described how she first used hair dyes when she was in her early 20s and went grey; nevertheless, she was unable to handle the “toxicity” of the products to maintain her dyed hair for an extended period of time.

“Wow. The news today… Particularly for women of colour, the numbers are alarming, she added in the caption. Grant refers to all women as “womxn” to include transgender and non-binary individuals. I prematurely greyed in my early 20s and coloured my hair a variety of colours until I was no longer able to stand the toxicity of the dyes. I allowed my hair to become “blonde” in my 30s. I adore and appreciate the fact that every woman has the freedom to pick her appearance at any age. But/and, if beauty standards are killing women, then let’s talk about those standards. All women are loved!

People responded to Grant’s remark in the comments and offered similar anecdotes about their own hair at the time.

Adrianne Curry-Rhode, a model, said:

“I’ve been on a quest to simply embrace who I am for approximately 1.5 months. I turned grey at age 22. I am 37. I appreciate you being who you are.

Another Instagram user claimed that they had only recently begun to accept their grey hair.

They started by saying,

“Alexandra, you have lovely hair.” “I spent years hiding the grey roots in my dark brown hair before giving up. Snow-white and lovely now.

“Thank you for sharing this knowledge and something so personal, ” wrote another appreciative reader. I adore what you just said since it is such a strong and illuminating message. We must once more clarify what we mean by beautiful. For the type of individuals we are and the way we treat other people, we must feel good about ourselves. And Alexandra, you are stunning in every way, exactly as you are. Never alter.”
