Being a celebrity is difficult because you are constantly under the spotlight, and nothing remains private since fans want to know every last detail about their favourite actor or actress. Unfortunately, in the world of glitz and glam, people are drawn to gossip, and media outlets are forced to publish such juicy stories.

Raveena Tandon, the queen of the 1990s, has been the subject of numerous tabloids’ gossip. Raveena mentioned in an interview with Film Companion that she has been linked with individuals with whom she had platonic connections and even revealed that she had been linked with her own brother. Yes, you read that correctly.

“I remember many, many sleepless nights where I would cry myself to sleep, and I would dread every month, another yellow, gossipy tabloid utterly ripping me, my credibility, my reputation, and my parents to shreds, and I would wonder, ‘What is it all about?'” she added.

Here’s the interview with the Film Companion:

“They linked me to my own brother, which Stardust also wrote about. ‘There’s a lovely, fair boy who arrives to send Raveena Tandon off; we’ve found Raveena Tandon’s lover,’ says the narrator. That is something we have experienced. Who would be the one to clarify, and how much would you be willing to pay? You were completely at the mercy of those reporters and editors. ‘Yeah, okay, take it with a sprinkle of salt,’ they’d reply even if you said ‘hello?’ “she said.

Raveena remarked about how actresses were fat shamed and forced to look a certain way in the interview. She believes that today’s women are more at ease in their own flesh. “I don’t think there is any pressure on women to look a specific way,” she answered when asked if there is any pressure on women to “look a certain way.” I believe the days of people body shaming you and talking about your thunder thighs and Amazonian growth are long gone. We’ve heard a lot of these things before. We all looked like ‘khaate peete ghar ki ladkiyan’ at the time.”

“There’s a lot more awareness in this generation to look beautiful and feel confident about ourselves,” she continued. So many of our actresses are content and confident in their own skin. “That includes me.”

She was asked about Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Tip Tip Barsa Pani because the issue was about how the industry’s view of women is evolving. Akshay was kept on, and he began a relationship with a much younger Katrina. “That is slowly wearing out, I can notice the shift, for sure,” Raveena remarked. But there’s still plenty of room for more. All of these remixes give the item tunes a new life and a new beat, which is a win-win situation. They’re a hit with the kids. In the end, I’m the one who owns them all again.”

Raveena has received a lot of appreciation for her outstanding performance in the Netflix thriller series Aranyak.
