Princess Diana of Wales was undoubtedly one of the first British “it girls” due to her many qualities, one of which was a remarkable sense of style. Because of this, more than 20 years after her sad death, she is still making a big splash in the fashion industry. In fact, some of the clothes she wore in her heyday are still in style, demonstrating how her spirit is still very much alive.

And to demonstrate that, we gathered 12 different costume types that Lady Di wore on various occasions and that is currently back in style.

Throughout her time in the public eye, Princess Diana transitioned through a variety of fashion trends; Shy Di was distinguished by innocently lovely diaphanous chiffon dresses and pie-crust collar tops. Dynasty Di, who commanded the globe with her power royal shoulders, impeccable tailoring, and never-ending sequins, came next. Along with her jazzy knits, dungarees, and cowboy boots, Polo Diana was also clever. Later, elegant Nineties Diana appeared, wearing LBDs, understated elegance, and stylish jackets.

In the second episode of The Me You Can’t See, the new mental-health docuseries he and Oprah Winfrey co-produced, Prince Harry declares, “I will never be bullied into silence.” This much is obvious: In addition to his explosive tell-all from March 2021, in which he claimed that his father and brother were “trapped” and that a member of his family had questioned the skin tone of his son, his new Apple+ project acts as yet another platform for him to discuss his contentious interactions with the British monarchy and the media.

Throughout their 15-year marriage, Princess Diana and Prince Charles were frequently pictured together, from their engagement to the birth of their sons Prince William and Prince Harry.

Fans are still perplexed by Charles’ unusual height in many of their pictures ten years later, though.

The Mirror reports that despite the fact that Charles and his wife were exactly the same height, 1.78 metres, or just under 5 feet 9 inches, in several pictures, Charles appeared to be several inches taller than his wife.

It’s clear when the two are shown standing next to one another, as evidenced by their official engagement shot, anniversary pictures, and adorable family photos.

One of the most well-known and influential fashion icons in the world, Lady Diana Spencer was referred to as the “people’s princess.” Diana’s bold clothing choices, from vibrant suits and dramatic gowns to her renowned wedding dress, paved the way for later fashionable royals like daughters-in-law Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. In season 4 of The Crown, newcomer Emma Corrin portrays several of her most iconic ensembles. However, a huge number of excellent pieces are rejected from the final edit.

The Revenge Dress

When Princess Diana arrived to the Serpentine Gallery in London in June 1994, she was pictured wearing a black party dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline.

However, Diana’s husband Prince Charles had recorded interviews with journalist Jonathan Dimbleby that were aired that evening, so this was no ordinary public appearance.

The Christina Stambolian gown was so audacious that the media dubbed it her “revenge dress.”

The Prince of Wales admitted to cheating on her in front of the camera, but he maintained it was only after “the marriage had irretrievably broken down.”

The very first person to do so was Princess Diana. The Lady Dior purse was created in 1995, and it quickly cemented its place in fashion history. We’re taking a closer look at the history of the recognisable bag, from its invention to the present.

The Lady Dior purse, which initially appeared in 1995, is still one of Dior’s timeless designs decades after it was first created. The bag received the impetus that would carry it through the decades and cement its place in the modern fashion landscape after Princess Diana wore it. The bag is a signature piece of the French fashion company and a knowing tribute to its founder couturier.

There are many stylish royals to choose from, so we’re certainly spoiled for choice. We constantly keep up with the royals from across the world as well as Kate Middleton’s elegant attire, Meghan Markle’s developing sense of style, and Queen Rania’s fashion preferences. Even if we adore the contemporary monarchy, we can’t help but savour the pictures of deceased royals who made an impression on us, including Grace Kelly and, of course, Princess Diana.

The latter is our topic of the day due to her flawlessly fashionable vacation attire, which would be right at home in 2019. For instance, we wouldn’t think twice about replicating her 1990 Necker Island vacation outfit, which included a gorgeous leopard dress. As fashionable as the last, she also wore chic vacation attire when on her honeymoon, a cruise through Scotland, and in Mallorca.
